I've used Braun razors since I started shaving 25 years ago and have been beyond pleased with the performance of the razors and the closeness of the shave. I just upgraded to this razor because the last one finally gave up the ghost after being used daily for the past 16 years. This model appears fundamentally the same as the previous version but has the added benefits of wet/dry usage and a l-ion battery. Oh, I almost forgot, it includes a removable plastic shield to protect the foil face which is a must have to prolong the life of the replaceable foil/blade combo. I lost the one that came with my old razor years ago and contribute not having it too early replacement of two foil faced units due to dings that were caught in the razor blades once the power was flipped on. This is something you definitely don't want to have happen because these replacement sets cost between $30 - $40. All in all I can say with certainty that Braun doesn't make a bad product. You won't be sorry with this razor. PS - My wife bought me a Norelco three disk razor when my Braun died which was the first I'd ever used. I tried it twice and promptly replaced it with this new Braun. There's no comparison.

I have a few shavers, a Braun 7 series for dry shaver and a Norelco wet/dry shaver that I could no longer get the original shaver heads for. I had read very poor reviews of the newer replacement Norelco shaversand also looked at the new shavers, not as well constructed. Finally Braun came out with this unit, glad I waited it does a good job with wet shave in the shower ( don't use it for dry shave) not quite as effective as the old Norelco unit but good enough. Also reasonably priced then any Norelco that I would have considered. ... and Best Buy local store had this in stock.

I wanted a new razor since I don't think my old one is supported anymore in terms of replacement heads, and they were wearing out. This one is fast, comfortable, and close. I like it better than my old one, even when that one was new.

Always had Norelco before, but decided to try a Braun. I really enjoy how smooth is shaves. No cuts or ripped hair off my face, plus the battery lasts a long time on a charge. I am happy with my purchase.

Got tired of mediocre shave from my Norelco. Had used Norelco for many years, this last one was poor, got no interested response from their customer service. Braun is much better, closer shave, although could be a bit closer. Trimmer is excellent, would recommend it.

I needed a new shaver to replace my Philips shaver and decided not to get another rotary shaver. It just irritate my skin. Came home and try this shave out and notice that it shaves a lot closer to the skin. It felt smooth as a baby's bottom. I was a bit hesitate in buying another $100 shaver but this puts my mind at easy. The head on this shavers only pivots in two ways, forward and aft but I never ran into an issue where it didn't conform to my jaw line. It fell natural like using a blade shaver. It's not really flashy. The only thing in the box is the shaver itself, a small brush, charger and a manual. Other than that, it's definitely better than the Philips shaver with a new blade.

Great battery life and gives a smooth shave in one go... Doesn't leaves the skin itchy or irritating, even at delicate areas...

Bought this for $60 and it has been worth the price. I only use a couple of days per week as I use a traditional blade razor the other days. Provides a good,close shave with long battery life and easy to clean.

I switched years ago from electric to conventional razor and recently had to switch back to electric because of medications (bleeding). For the price I feel that this is a great purchase. I am totally satisfied. Thought of purchasing the 706 or 705 Braun models but glad I didn't. I'm sure that they are great but am happy with this "bang for the buck".

This shaver is a no-frills unit. Not much documentation - just enough to get you started and such. I've shaved with a blade for years, so the transition has been slow. Recent shaves - after about a month - seems better. I always use the shaver with shave cream and water. I think there'd be too much friction otherwise. When charged, you'll get at least a week of shaves without a recharge. The shaver is easy to clean.

So far ive had this electric shaver for a couple weeks and im happy with the results. It provides a close shave without irritation and minimal effort. Its everything i would expect to recieve from the braun line of shavers.

Had Norelco before. Wasn't sure if I'd like this one or not. As it turns out, not too bad. But the shave could be a bit closer. Trimmer is excellent, would definitely recommend it.

Works very well, close shave, easy to clean. Holds charge well.

Holds charge well, shaves good but always have to go over easy wit razor blades after any electric razor. The Braun cleans up real good and easy. Works great with shaving foam but you have to clean it after every shave. Dry you can brush the hair out and use a couple times before it needs a full clean up

this unit replaced an existing unit I have had for several years. It works as you would expect from a razor. It has not been tried in the wet shave mode, so cannot comment on that function.

This shaver works as expected for its price. I will always buy a Braun shaver, but I didn't want to spend as much as I had last time. I have no complaints about how this shaver works, it just doesn't have the frills of more expensive shavers. If this is the price you want to pay for a shaver, this is an excellent purchase.

Not my first Braun shaver, so I was familiar with the quality. This is smaller, and lighter than many others. What sold me was the wet/dry capability. Makes for more efficient showers when you can use soap as shaving cream. The only drawbacks are the power cord and lack of storage/stand. I really miss that...

This shaver shaves very close. It is very easy to clean, just remove head and place under the faucet. Battery needs to be charged after about one week. I wished it would last longer. If it did I would give it five stars.

A good electric razor better when your facial hair is wet. I have not tried it in the shower yet but I think it will be safe.

After reading product reviews I was able to pick the razor I wanted. Delivery was fast and the razor shaved great and it is quiet.
