This is a perfect smaller microwave. I already have a toaster oven by Breville that is awesome and so when I was looking for a solid microwave that will last, I went with this one. Sometimes quality costs a bit more upfront, but then it saves money longterm. That’s how I try to buy when possible. If I were to comment on one thing I don’t like about this microwave, I’d say the door lock function is unnecessary and could be annoying to others, but I’m just happy to have such a nice microwave after having a couple cheap ones expire. This one is solid and reliable. I expect it to last a number of years.

Exactly what we needed, compact yet powerful. The preset cook options work great. Random features we love are the mute and soft close.

I love how quiet the Breville is, easy to use and the soft close door.

While purchased earlier is was not used until 3/28/24. We have only used a couple of times. It is great for microwave rice. It did do microwave bacon, but left a lot of liquid puddles. In order to wipe down I needed to remove the glass plate. Hence 4 stars. So far it works well for a small microwave. Easy to use, quiet operation and well lit.

Great “small” microwave. Got this after our slightly larger and fancier model broke when my child inadvertently microwaved something with metal … now she knows not to! This new microwave is simple and effective, fits all our plates, and looks nice too. Highly recommend it. If you just need a microwave to heat things up or defrost, this one is great.

Wow, this microwave is the smallest at .09, but the strongest, most quiet, best looking micro wave I have ever owned

It works just as advertised. I was looking for something quiet because my husband sleeps during the day. The door is quiet and all the beeps/alarms can be turned off. The noise while it is heating also is fairly quiet compared to microwaves I've had before. 100% Recomend.

Purchased for brand reputation and small size. Looks good, doesn’t take up a lot of space and very quiet when operating. The door is a soft close, however, after several months of use, the door latch gets stuck in the open position and it needs to be slammed shut. That is disappointing.

My old microwave died, so began the lookout for a new one. Did some research online and saw good reviews for this Breville. I have one of their countertop ovens and really like the quality and simplicity of the design. This is no different: seems high quality and easy to use. I like the slightly raised on/off buttons and the knob to turn for specific minutes of cooking time. Can turn the beeping off easily if that bothers you. The door shuts quietly, as they say, AND it runs very quietly too. (Or perhaps my old one was loud.) Yes, it was pricey and not available everywhere but Best Buy had it, delivered promptly and I'm a happy camper.

Really nice microwave. Has all the features i need. Works great and has a lot of great features. Love the dial, which i didnt think i would. It is perfect to set length of cook cycle. Happy with my purchase.

This small but mighty microwave works well for all kitchen needs. We are a household that uses it heavily. We feed our dogs fresh and raw food so it gets used several times a day to warm their food as well as the amount we use it for human food. it is holding up better than more expensive larger microwaves that we have purchased in the past. It is worth every penny. Also we love the soft close door. The compact size means it takes up minimal counter space. I would highly recommend this one for any family.

Sleek, compact, and very well made. This Breville microwave is perfect for small kitchens but still feels premium. The soft-close door is a standout feature—quiet and smooth—and the controls are intuitive and precise. Heats food evenly and looks great on the counter. The build quality and design make it worth it.

There are things I love about this device: the soft close door, the mute of the beep, and the knob to turn to set time. HOWEVER, I have purchased 3 of these, and two of three DIED at the 2 year mark, and the 2 and a half year mark! The third one is only 6 months old, so we'll see...

Giving this 4 stars with a caveat. I owned one of these prior to this purchase, (LOVED IT) but a guest broke a piece off the inside door (sleeve caught on closure) and we could not fix. So ordered another one to replace. The new one was loud for some reason (the first one was the quietest I'd ever had and loved it) and the second time I used it, it made a popping noise. Nope... took it back. I contacted Breville re both incidents and it took quite a while for them to get back and they kept asking for numbers that I could not locate on the item. I sent them photos and numbers and they kept asking for info, so not so much for their process of customer service. Hard for a family to be w/o this device while company figures things out on their own business time. Easier to return. I think second experience was an aberration so I do recommend this device (although I just ended up buying a small cheap one for now to replace) and customers should know that normally, it is a very nice looking microwave (not compact in my view, but not huge), super quiet close and super quiet cooking (with no beep option which we also loved) and if you get anything that doesn't function that way - take it back.

Just the right size for a small kitchen or apartment. More powerful than I expected. Quiet operation and nice door latching and unlatching.
