    I've always had Brother printers in the past and I've purchased genuine brother ink as well as the generic kind and I've learned the hard way that you should only use this kind of ink. The generic one has always caused problems with the printers. This ink costs a little more but is still cheaper than getting the printer fixed because the generic ink screwed it up.

    I don't know if it's just my personal observations, but it seems like I get fewer and fewer pieces of paper through before I have to replace my ink cartridges. If it were the black cartridge, I might understand, but I just don't seem to be getting all of the 'pages' that are advertised with this ink. Pictures are crisp though, and print quickly through my brother printer, just wish I didn't have to return so often to replace them.

    The ink is good and works well. My only complaint is that Brother has designed their printers to not print unless you have ink in all four cartridges, even if you only want to print in black and white. I had to cover up the clear windows of the three color cartridges with tape to trick the printer into thinking they were full so I could print in black and white. It's ridiculous.
