This set is better than what the airline provides, but the overall noise reduction is nothing like full size phones. Compact, but pricey, I believe they're a bit oversold.

This product is one of 3 in-ear noise cancellation (reduction) devices I have owned. I received this product from BB yesterday and as I have before with other noise cancellation (reduction) products, tried the feature without the unit being plugged in to an MP3 player. I noticed a 'slight' reduction in background noise - almost unnoticeable - which is strange given that the unit offers 16db vs 18db with my other products. Turning the unit on or off yielded minimal benefits. I tried new batteries, different sized seals, and with no results. When I used the unit on my MP3 player - they worked just like regular earphones - noise cancellation (reduction) was not noticeable. Very disappointing - in all fairness the unit may be DOA. Unfortunately, since this product is not stocked at any BB retail outlets - I have not had a chance to try a different unit. Overall one star due to the entire experience: DOA(?,) questionable quality of the product, unable to get a timely replacement at a b&m store.

As a pro traveler... I have owned em all. And lost or broke em all. After spending as much as 300 bucks on noise canceling devices... I was a little suspect that these would deliver... I am very surprised... First of all the fit and comfort is top notch. The noise canceling is really effective and the fidelity really rocks. Bottom line for me... I saved a ton of money and recieved great sound and a comfortable fit
