We installed it and it has never cleaned the dishes. It leaves a greasy residue on everything. We have reinstalled it multiple times. Leveled it. Tried different detergents. Increased the water temperature. Nothing works. A $1300 mistake. We are currently using a $250 frigidaire dishwasher that works great instead.

Good Dishwasher poor quality

I have had the dishwashers less than 6 months, the cracks were not there to start but are now growing. I spent I lot of money on a full GE suit of appliances, and the quality and service are unfortunate.

Poor design & 2 have broken

Loud and doesn’t clean

A white, milky film on glassware, dishware and the interior of the dishwasher can be caused by your dishwasher detergent. Because modern detergent are phosphate-free, they can potentially leave a white film on glassware, other items, and even the dishwasher tub itself. This film is most often observed in hard water areas. It doesn’t clean as good as it looks

My 13 year old Maytag cleaned better than this one. It’s also smaller inside and even though it has a move able top rack it isn’t as tall as the Maytag. I now have to wash smaller loads and leave more room in between dishes to get them clean. I have the refrigerator which I love and now the dishwasher after this I’ll be purchasing a different range for my kitchen. If you’re just buying for looks this one is beautiful but if you want function pass it by.

Although we’re disheartened to learn that your unit’s performance isn’t what you hoped, we’d like to share some tips that will help. -- The top reason for poor dishwasher performance is low inlet water temperatures - it should be at least 120°F. To aid in this, turn on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher, let run until the water temperature stops rising, then start the dishwasher, and turn off the faucet. This ensures the entering water is hot. Looks Beautiful, But Doesn't Clean
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really disappointed in this Dishwasher as we have multiple other Cafe/GE Appliances (Cafe Double Oven - LOVE!!!!; Cafe Coffee Maker - LOVE!!!!; GE Profile Gas Cooktop - LOVE!!!; GE Font-loading Washer & Dryer w/ "Freshvent"; LOVE!!!). We bought this dishwasher a year and a half ago to specifically to match our Cafe Matte White Double Oven and Cooktop; while it looks great, we continue to have issues with dirty dishes and and detergent pods not clearing from the dispenser (Cascade Platinum Pods); we are on our third service call. The first service call (under warranty) the GE technician told us its because we weren't cleaning our plates properly or that they were sitting in the sink too long and that we weren't using rinse aid; we started using rinse aid diligently as well as pre-washing our plates, but it had no change in the issue. The second GE service technician came out (still under warranty) and said it had nothing to do with rinse aid, but that there was an issue in the internal water distribution that he had to replace. He replaced it and things definitely improved cleaning; continue to have issues with detergent pods being stuck in the dispenser. Now a year later, we're back to issues with pulling dishes out with food stuck-n and dried to the plates even though we continue to pre-wash and use rinse aid. (Detergent pods still an issue - Cascade Platinum). We just had our third GE technician arrive - now out of warranty. It was the same guy from our first call that lectured us again about dishes sitting too long and rinse aid. (FYI - I had dishes sitting in the sink so that he would have a clean dishwasher to work with). After he was done lecturing us, he told us that the top water spinner needed to be replaced because the holes are clogged. As we are out of warranty, this is now a $270 cost on a dishwasher that has been flaky on cleaning since we got it. As much as we love the aesthetics of it - that Matte White and Bronze is beautiful - a pricepoint this high for a non-performing dishwasher and the costs we now have to sink into this a year and a half later dont make it worth it. Spend on the money a dishwasher that works instead of this!

Looks Great but performance is EXTEMELY poor.

It was such a disappointment when we actually used it. To start the dishes do not come out clean at all. If they are not almost spotless prior to entering the dishwasher you might as well just hand wash them because they are not going to get any better. The soap dispenser does not empty the pod or regular detergent all the way. Sometimes the pod is just stuck to the bottom tray and appears to be only half dissolved. Tried granular detergent and it left a river of undissolved detergent. It's almost as if it does not release at the correct time. This dishwasher also takes over three hours to wash and dry a load of dishes. I can't even express my disappointment with this product. I thought maybe it's just mine, and not the cafe collection altogether, but the toaster is by far the worst one I have used also.

Don't buy if want to connect to Wi-Fi

Looks great, but it will NOT connect to Wi-Fi. Been on the phone with tech support for hours. Ticket escalated and will get an email within 5 business days. While I don't care that my DW is online, I'm worried that our $4,500 oven will have the same issue when it's installed. Nothing like wasting time with tech support to ruin your impression of a new appliance.

Terrible delivery, scheduling, and customer servic

Had to reschedule the delivery and when it found a dish show up, it didn’t have any parts to install another day. Wasted spoke with someone supposedly from corporate. Christina is who she said she was very rude, so I canceled my order had them to come and pick up both dishwasher and refrigerator whoever Christina is she was very rude. Did not try to resolve my problem I was told that she could send a technician out to my house or I can return The appliances take my pick Very unprofessional and rude

Breaks a ton of times

We have the entire Cafe line for our kitchen and the dishwasher has broken for the fourth time in TWO years and won’t unlock. The fridge handle won’t stay on the fridge. They claim it’s a nice line but like a nice line shouldn’t have this many issues in an appliance in TWO YEARS. I shouldn’t have to buy an extended warranty just to cover FOUR issues in TWO years on a dishwasher. I just want to run my dishwasher and it’s insane. Oh, and the technicians don’t carry parts for anything so they’ll charge you multiple trip fees. Don’t do it.
