The Café Specialty 2-Slice Toaster is a stylish and well functioning toaster. The build quality on this toaster is nice and it feels solid. This is a stainless steel with rose gold accents. It doesn't show finger print smudges which is really nice. One thing I think that was well thought out is the placement of the power cord and that there are 4 feet on the bottom. This allows you to have the freedom to chose where the cord goes to plug in in order to fit your space as best possible. There are 8 doneness levels and 4 setting buttons; bagel, reheat, frozen, and express finish. All work fairly well and I was really happy with the express finish. This is where additional heating elements are activated to toast your bread much faster than on regular setting. Another neat feature is that there is an LED light on the darkness selector dial. It changes brightness depending on time left so you have a visual estimate on when the toaster will finish. I do also like that there is an easily accessible crumb tray that pops out with a slight push. The bread slots hold whatever you put in it securely and it toasts nice and evenly. Overall, I would say that I am happy with this toaster as it is a well build, nice looking, and a well performing toaster.

Our kitchens have become a smorgasbord of single purpose small electrics. Each one designed to make your life easier and your food taste better. The GE Cafe toaster earns its place by looking good and working well. The copper colored accents and dark finish help it find a place in nearly any kitchen. As a toaster, it crisps the outside of the bread perfectly while keeping the inside soft. The darkness knob easily selects how toasty the bread is. It works equally well with a bagel as it does with bread, with a bagel button to engage and give a little extra heat when needed. The outsides remain relatively cool while toasting allowing for close quarters with other small electrics. A pop up toaster is not as versatile as a toaster oven. You can’t make a tuna melt or tater tots, but it works well where it’s supposed to. It appears to be well built. The control handle on the bottom are made of plastic, not copper. This will make it more comfortable to use as the plastic insulates from the toaster’s heat while still providing a nice aesthetic. The bottom also has a cord wrap keeping the excess cord out of the way. This is a nice looking, well-built toaster which serves its niche nicely.

Are you a fancy shmancy person? Do you like nice pieces so you can lift your nose and look down at the peasants as they stand in your overwhelmingly bougie presence? Me too. This is an amazing, sleek, contemporary piece for the kitchen. It works as intended and is super simple to use and clean. I have gotten compliments on the look alone, but as a new yorker i need something that can toast a bagel to perfection.

We love our toaster. It is perfect for poptarts. It cost a little more and appears to be worth it.

The Cafe Specialty Toaster will look stylish on any kitchen counter and the three colors available means you can match your kitchen counters and/or appliances. We’ve made toast, bagels and English muffins and all have come out exceptionally nice. If you’re looking for a toaster that is as good looking as it is effective then look no further. We have the stainless steel color version and it looks incredible in our kitchen. It’s also available in white or black. The cord is also nice and long which was notable as some toasters were have had in the past had relatively short power cords. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow as I’m sure you will be if you add this toaster to your kitchen.

Hard to get excited about a toaster but this one is pretty cool. Very sleek/clean lines and does not have a big footprint on counter. Simple controls work well and brushed finish is easy to keep clean. Oh yeah, it also makes good toast :)

I love the look and style of this toaster. The function is excellent. I always used to have to toast everything twice to get the right level of toast, but this toaster does it in one try. Perfect every time. Super happy with this purchase.

The Cafe - Specialty 2-Slice Toaster in stainless steel looks expensive. The rose gold accents really make it pop on my kitchen counter and it doesn't seem to get as many fingerprint marks as my other stainless appliances. Most importantly it functions really well, it makes perfect toast that's browned evenly! My daughter tried to talk me into getting a much more expensive toaster that she saw on Tic-Toc but I thought this one looked a lot nicer. I'm happy I didn't listen to my daughter and got this one instead because it makes perfect toast for 1/2 the cost of the one she wanted me to get.

Excellent toaster, worth the price. Handles all sizes of breads, buns, bagels, english muffins. Setting knob works well. Finally a toaster that actually toast correctly and does not require you to do it twice to get it done. It does a fantastic job at a little less than half way on the setting (4 of 8 settings). Fast, great look, does not heat up on bottom or feet. So do not have to worry about where you set it. We cooked 8 pieces of toast, so 4 rounds - two at a time and bottom and feet still cool. All you have to do is relax and enloy.

Looks really nice, but it looks more like a really dark grey color rather than matte black. I think it could match either color dark grey or black and the rose gold accents on it really make it pop and makes it look expensive! It works really well, it makes very evenly perfectly browned toast, our entire family is very happy with the way it functions, we also bought it in the stainless steel color too - highly recommend!

Looks very nice. Pretty large relative to the slot size. Toasts fine. Operates like a traditional toaster in a fancy wrapper. The White LEDs can be a little hard to see.

I bought this toaster for its appearance, as it matched my kitchen so perfectly in black and copper. It is very attractive. I've never had luck with toasters in quality of toasting. This one toasts well, but it still toasts one side just a little bit darker than the other. Still, it is good toast and much better than all the others I have had.

I have only had the toaster about a month so only gave 4 stars. It is a bit pricey, so I'm hoping it lasts for a long time. So far, I like it. It toasts well (I have used it for toast, bagels, and hamburger buns). I like the removable crumb tray - there are not a lot of crumbs left inside the toaster. And it looks nice on the counter.

Very consistent toasting straight out of the box. I'd recommend running through some empty cycles first though. It needs to burn off whatever it is that is making it smell. 3 or 4 cycles at max temp and using the frozen setting should do the trick. Really nice build quality. 8 pounds which is about three to four times the mass of a more typical toaster. The seam lines and overall construction feels solid in hand. The controls feel good and the mechanical action of the tray also feels well engineered. The unit has rubber feet that gives it a nicely planted feel on the counter top. The power cord can be partially wrapped around inside the bottom of the chassis to help reduce the effective length. Unwrapped, the power cord is a good, long length. The Express Finish mode is interesting in that it allows the center of item to remain a tad bit more moist than the outer areas of bread and bagels, while still offering up a satisfying toasty, outer consistency in very short order. We like that feature a lot. A little bit pricey for what you get and how short the warranty is ... but still a well constructed machine and we are happy with it thus far. We are tired of having to replace toasters every few years due to junk construction, so we are hoping this one lasts. We were initially interested in the Black finish but once seen in person at the store ... no way. It looks more like a gray, gun metal finish under Best Buy lighting. So we sprung for the stainless steel. That finish looks great with the copper accents.
