The blender looked great in the kitchen but it couldn’t handle ice cubes or leafy vegetables well. Ended up returning for a ninja which works perfectly.

Great blender! The presets prove to be rather intuitive

A little disappointed with this blender. It is very noisy and it does not handle frozen fruit well at all. Unfortunately, it’s too late to return. Waste of money.

the Calphalon Power Sense blender is a beast. It has pulverized everything I have thrown at it with ease. I make protein based smoothies post workout and I've struggled with "thick" smoothies in other blenders. Ya know when the blender just stops spinning the mix because it is to slushy and thick? Well this beast blasts through peanut butter and protein powder without a hitch. I am on the keto diet and this blender has been great for making my cream cheese "fat bombs" I love the reverse function, no need to pop the lid off and loosen your slosh with a spoon! The reverse function will do the work for you. i think The auto sensing mode works best because honestly the high power spins way too fast. If you're going to be chopping thick veggies, fruits, ice cubes it'll be just fine. I have two minor issues with this blender. 1. If you use the highest power setting, you can literally smell the motor getting hot / burning a little lol. its crazy. 2. The blade is hard to unscrew from the bottom of the jar if you have large hands. My hands don't fit between the base and screw on bottom. I have to just use my fingers to grip it and turn it. Which makes it hard / a bit painful if you screw it on too tight. On the positive side, this blender feels very tough. The jar feels super sturdy, and the lid has a nice airtight seal. The blender also has a very classy sophisticated modern looking design and looks great on any kitchen counter. I love the blade / chopper design, it is quite simple to clean with a small brush. The controls and buttons on the blender are very intuitive and easy to use. I'd recommend this if you are looking for a powerful and easy to use / clean blender.

My problem with most blenders is the pulse/reverse pulse procedure to get fruit/ice chunks down into the blade, meaning constant regulation. The Calphalon blender does the thinking for you. Forward, reverse, forward, reverse is the normal method of getting chunky ingredients down into the blades. With the Calphalon, simply set the dial to your desired end result and it happens. My daughters are thrilled with their morning fruit smoothies. Yogurt, fruit, milk and either ice or ice cream and the Calphalon blender starts slow, switches direction, switches several more times and eventually finishes with a steady blend. The results are amazing and no matter what ingredients I add, the end result always comes out perfect. I have been a fan of Calphalon pots and pans for years and now can add their appliances to my list of favoites!

This has to be one of the sturdiest, well made blenders I've used. Gotta love the fact that Calphalon stands behind their product with a 10yr warranty. It is easy to use, easy to clean and works great. I really like having the countdown timer because using blenders in the past always seemed like a guessing game for how long to keep blending. The presets are nice too because we make a lot of smoothies and you can just set it and forget it so to speak. It's also a nice looking design and will blend in with most kitchen appliances with the dark stainless finish.

Honestly, I've never been one to often use a blender. The one I had prior to this one cost maybe $30 and was 8 years old before I got this one. However, I've been experimenting with smoothies and frozen beverages lately and this is an amazing blender. It's a bit difficult and not as intuitive to see how everything comes together sometimes but you get used to it. As mentioned in a lot of these other reviews, there are a few minor design issues but none of them really compromise the overall quality to be found here. Ultimately this is still a strong quality product that functions as advertised.

This is a very nice blender. Structure seems sturdy and the design is sheik. I like all the different speed options. I made some shakes for myself and my daughter. We used the milkshake button and it worked perfectly, our shakes were delicious! The presets take all the guesswork out, so simple even my 7yr old can use it. I also like that the cup is BPA free. This will be our go to blender from now on.

Calphalon Has done their homework. Definitely worth considering if your in the market for a blender. State of the art Auto sensing was interesting to experience when blending a smoothie. Very powerful motor crushed the ice with no issues. Nice large digital display and very easy to select various blending options. The pieces all fit together very well. Love the smoothie Take along cup. Feels like a solid unit and price fits the technology in this blender.

I owned a Hamilton Beach blender previously. It did a really good job blending even some of the most challenging contents. This Calphalon seems up to that challenge. It’s prerry powerful and the design is great. A big issue I have is with the included on-the-go cup. Unless I am a big idiot and haven’t been able to figure it out, the lid does not completely seal, so if my smoothie settles and I want to shake it again, the contents can go everywhere. So I can’t use this cup as a shaker cup either for the same reason.
