This is a great assortment of your primary printing colors. What I like most about these cartridges is that they're ALL XL (EXTRA LIFE). They hold 11 ml. of ink where as the standard cartridges only hold 7. Over 1 1/2 times the ink supply. As a plus beyond saving money is that they are more environmentally friendly, less changes are required. A GOOD VALUE FOR YOU AND OUR FRAGILE EARTH.

A couple of times in the past, I tried some of the cheaper ink and refills, but had problems. Now I just buy the best, and I never print a bad page or photo. I have had a couple of Canon printers that print many reams of paper without any problems. My family and friends say I print the best photos too, even though my printer is old and prints lots of color pages on copy paper.

I think I wrote a review for this ink before. I have been buying this ink for the past few years. When I go back to the purchase history, I realize that I only need to replace the ink once a year. And I print quite a lot. So the XL size is really worth it.

It's increasingly difficult to find ink for older printers, so not only is XL a better buy but it also protects you from having long periods of missing a color while searching in vain.

The Canon 251 XL ink cartridges were many fabled by reviewers
for providing twice the ink fill at lower per unit cost. Mystery--- the XL s are nonexistent in most markets! I was surprised when the cashier announced some 20% savings for "ink bundle". And, besides that I can cash in the empty cartridges. My only
concern now is Canon 251 s are probably scheduled obsolescence.
