Very nice camera and easy to use. Liked the flip screen, would have been nicer to be able to flip it around instead of only up and down, but its more convenient than a static screen. It's not a touch screen, but the button commands are pretty straight forward. The zoom is great .

This is a replacement for the SX700 that I dropped and broke. It has the tilting screen and a little more zoom range. Otherwise it is more or less the same to use. The zoom is good up to a certain point but then the images are not clear and it needs good stability such as a tripod or a very steady hand. The low light is the same as the SX700, not the best. I use the zoom and macro a lot so they were the features I was looking for in a replacement camera without having to pay big money. I do wish it were better it low light situations. It does not take the same battery as the other camera so I bought some extras. I have never used the video/movie much so that was not a concern. It has a picture of a fork and knife on the control dial I assume for food pictures. I find that hilarious and why is that needed? The camera is heavy duty and the tilt screen makes it a little wider.

I received my Canon SX740 as a gift. I absolutely love how easy it is to start taking photos right out the box. The zoom feature is amazing. I would definitely recommend.

Overall, the camera is great at taking pictures. My Fiance uses this camera all the time and loves using it! We have had no issues so far. The flip feature for the camera screen is also great for doing videos for Youtube.

I was worried it was a different company carrying this camera, but I registered it with canon and it is authentic. Love it!!

Alot better than my older camera which I bought because it had a view finder but kept losing pictures to invalid formats ecause buttonsssending camerea to 4d modeetc was where had to hod caamera. The new canon camerea taakes alot better pictures eve in low twilight. I tested it on trip to swizeland and in CO mountains. A large majority of my pictures are on snow utdoors panorma pictures. They all came out great but with no view finder on the black screen in bright light often cannot see what you are filming have to quess what iss in view. A view finder would correct this bright light problem. BUTatleast I did not los pictures on my trip to switzerland ike I probably with my old camera.

Camera is good so far after 2 days but Best Buy sucks and they do not honor their price match or market place commitment

Easy to use, high quality pictures and videos. I use this for events and professional pictures for small business. It's easy to bring to events, not bulky.

I loved the ease of use of the camera and the zoom is great too. One problem is that after using for only 2 weeks the camera has stopped working.

I have the Canon SX720 and love everything about it so when I saw the 740 had a selfie pop up screen since I travel a lot by myself I thought I could not go wrong with it. It is so different. It is shakier to use and the shutter button is tricky. I have been using it a couple weeks and still have some blurry photos because it is too quick . I have not used it yet in low light.

This was the best gift,,, ever. Takes perfect photos. I was pleasantly surprised at how great this little camera is, it even has wifi. Great price!

I love this camera! It has nice quality for the price. I can carry this little baby easily cause carrying my dslr around is not happening. The flip screen us definitely a plus!!

I like this camera. I think it’s great for beginners and it’s easy to use. It’s portable so you can take it wherever you please as it’s not heavy. It has great quality photos! I love it.

The camera was perfect for our trip to Alaska. It was very easy to use and took great pictures. The size made it very portable so I didn’t miss shots. The directions were user friendly.
