I bought this camera for my husband's birthday in September. He loves it. I bought this same camera in June 2019 and have really liked it. The easy point-and shoot provides nice photos. It's great to have a zoom and get good up close photos of wildlife from a long distance. People have been amazed at the photos. I would buy again.

This is a very basic, though powerful, camera! We had a previous version about 10 years ago that accumulated sand in it outside the US. This was a gift for my husband, and he is quite happy with it. We didn't want a big, professional type camera, and the cameras on our smart phones aren't good enough quality.

I bought this tiny camera as a backup. I use it wherever I can't bring my Canon DSLR. Initial setup is simple and the setup menu easy to navigate. It has a fantastic zoom and the pictures and video are awesome. It has Wifi and can be connected to my iPhone instantly. Overall great camera.

Purchased this Canon to take pictures at my niece's weding. The pictures are beautiful. My concern is the battery does not last as long as I had expected it too or the instruction booklet said. Not sure if my fault or the battery or the camera.

Firstly...yes if you zoom in low light.. its grainy. But in a well lit room and outdoors the picture quality are amazing and crisp. In low light it takes good pics up close with the flash. 40 zoom exceeded my expectations. Finally a pocket zoom camera that takes great pics. The colors in the picture are amazing.

I use for my YouTube channel. Just need to learn how to focus because it blurs a lot . But GREAT camera

I needed a small camera to take on vacation. My Cannon 7D was too large to travel with on planes and busses. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the SX 740 HS had many of the same settings I was used to. It takes very good close up and telephoto pictures. If you are looking for a small easy to use camera, I would recommend looking at this one.

I’ve always been a fan of the canon powershot. I think one of my biggest features that I look for are not only the clarity of picture, but the optical zoom. Definitely one of the best optical zoom distances. Take a lot of pictures at work for the various performing groups that travel. Make it easy to take a nice picture without having to take my DSLR with me.
