Bought this for a 17 day trip from Switzerland to Iceland. On day 15 when I went to use it the lens cover would only open half way I didn’t use it in a dusty situation or get it wet. This was very disappointing as I had to manually open the lens the whole way before I could take a picture. Just returned home and need to get it repaired. Very disappointed

I can't review a product that I purchased as a gift as I have never used it. It had very good ratings so I did but it as a Christmas gift for daughter in Virginia.

Mostly bothered by the lack of Canon contact support. It is impossible to register the product, as it says both e mails are invalid and you can't call any number without being registered, so we spent 399.99 for a camera that doesn't have a way to register for a warranty. Our last Canon had all sorts of shut down problems. Hope this one doesn't as we have no warranty. also, note this camera doesn't even come with a cord to transfer images, so you better be able to do it via wifi, and have tech skills.

I had never used a Canon before and was hopeful that it would be as good if not better than the Nikon I had. I used it on vacation and luckily also took my old Nikon. Most of the pics were slightly out of focus (this is point/shoot/auto setting) and it just didn't perform as I had hoped. Luckily I was within the window to return this and get my money back.
