Just bought it as a backup battery for a trip I recently made. Full charged in about 3 hours and would last half day of shooting. I don't make videos so I'm not sure how much would last. However,t for photography is a really good battery.

Seems to last for the indicated times, etc... recharges quickly and seems to hold the charge.

I always recommend getting a second battery from the camera manufacturer, not a third party. This is a case where you really do get what you pay for!

I recently purchased a new camera and bought a spare battery just in case. I have spare batteries for my go pro as well. It’s always nice to carry a spare around and not worrying if your camera is going to die. Charges very fast!

Canon made batteries are the best and if you can find them on sale they’re worth every penny. I’ve used a few different eBay no name batteries, while they work they don’t last as long in life or battery capacity.

I bought this LP-E12 rechargeable battery for my Canon EOS M50. I needed this spare battery for video recording. I tested the battery life and I was able to record about 2 hours and 21 minutes straight of 1080p / 60fps worth of video. However, if I tried to record at 4K, the battery life is severely drained about an hour or so. The higher the recording resolution, the faster the battery drains. I recommend to price match this battery - I was able to get this battery for $50.

We were taking a 5 day trip down the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. Without electricity, needed an extra battery. Owning other Canon batteries, I felt comfortable making this purchase. And true to form, held it's charge very well!
