This is my go to lens for anything. Definitely worth the price for a utility lens across many types of photography paired with my R6 Mk II.

I upgraded from EF 24-70Lii, which was my favorite lens because of its superb optical performance. The major reason I wanted to upgrade is it claimed to have nearly slient focus, which I think is very import for my video work. However it disappointed me at this point. It is Not 100% slient in video at all. Yes it's still much better than EF version for video, but when you shoot close up object, you may hear focus sound very clearly, which is not found at RF 15-35mm lens. So if you want to shoot video, use that lens instead. The other bad point is the weight, it is even heavier than EF24-70+Adaptor Ring. Ok, I know this version has stablization so I forgive you, Canon. But the focus noise is something I can't bear with it.

This is my go-to lens for everything from events, portraits, video shooting, etc. This lens does it all. So sharp. everyone should have a 24-70 in their kit!

The Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8L IS is my new favorite lens. I've been using it with the Canon EOS R5, and with its incredibly fast auto focus and image stabilization -- unlike Canon's EF 24-70mm F2.8, which does not have any image stabilization -- it makes it very easy to take beautiful, sharp photos. The RF 24-70's aspherical glass (versus the spherical style lens I used to use) also adds a quality to the images that I find very appealing.
The build of the lens is a bit on the heavier side, but it feels well-constructed, and the zoom/focus rings are quite smooth. There is also a third ring that can be customized to other functions in the camera menu, which is a really nice bonus.
It is easy to recommend this fantastic lens, and while the price is high, you will absolutely see the return-on-investment with the Canon RF 24-70's beautiful results.

I went for it and am not disappointed. The 24-70 is a very versatile lens. Great for landscapes/city on the wide end and excellent for portraits/products in the 50-70 range. It's a bit heavy but proved its worth on a recent trip overseas.

This lens covers 95 percenr of what you want to shoot. I shoot portraits and events and this covers my entire workload. And with that 2.8 aperture it is perfect for low light.

I'm thrilled to share my experience with the new Canon lens! The image clarity and sharpness are truly remarkable, capturing every detail with precision. The lens's low-light performance exceeded my expectations, delivering stunning photos even in challenging conditions. The autofocus is fast and accurate, making it a joy to capture spontaneous moments. Overall, the Canon lens has elevated my photography to new heights, and I couldn't be happier with its outstanding performance.
