This lens does amazing and you cannot beat the price. Images are clear and well focused. I only give it 4 stars because the lens is loud. Out of all of mine it is the loudest and it is noticeable. It will take me some time to get used to that but I will.
I consider it a must have for everyone's camera bag.

Love this lens! It’s very clear and crisp . Can’t wait for a RF 1.4. It’s great to have , if you have mirrorless even if you want to upgrade. The quality is great and the price is great.

It's a lot louder than I was expecting, and it focus on more than my L glass, but I love the pictures that it produces and I enjoy the smaller form factor.

The lens is great.
I walked by the lenses to check pricing and noticed they were much cheaper than what I have seen online. I asked a worker to check the price and we scanned the QR code and the website said it was more expensive. He said they would not honor the price on the electronic tag. I said that is not right, you can't label something one price then say its more expensive once I'm interested in buying it. Multiple workers came over, they tried to update the tag saying it wasn't reading right. After about 10 minutes of being flustered, eventually he said he would honor the price. Once he rang it up, it rang up the lower price. So the website had the wrong price and he argued with me for 10 minutes for no reason.
I just hope he didn't do anything to it because he was mad that I was right.

This inexpensive little prime offers great images at an affordable price. I use it daily for Fresh 48s due to its small size and light weight. It's not one of Canon's L lenses, but you're not paying the price, either. I have a good assortment of RF lenses, but this one spends the most time on my camera due to it being so light weight.
There is a little vignetting on the images, but it's easily corrected in LR. I haven't had a chance to try it for landscape yet, but for newborns and closeups, it's a nice addition to the kit.

I recently added this 35mm lens to my collection, and it has quickly become my go-to for almost every situation. First off, the build quality is impressive; it feels sturdy and well-made, with smooth focusing and a compact design that makes it easy to carry around.
The image quality is stellar—sharp even at wide apertures, with great contrast and beautiful color rendition. The f/1.8 (or f/1.4, if applicable) aperture gives a lovely shallow depth of field that’s perfect for portraits, and it performs well even in low light. I’ve also been able to get some incredible close-up shots, making it versatile for various types of photography, from street to landscape.
I love the focal length as well—35mm is wide enough to capture a nice scene without feeling too distorted, yet it’s also intimate enough for portraits. It has really helped me improve my compositions and focus on framing my shots well. I highly recommend this lens to anyone looking for an affordable yet high-quality prime lens that works for a wide range of shooting styles. It's worth every penny!

Picked this up when it was on sale and I’m so glad that I did. The RF lenses are in every way a superior build to the EF line. This is not a L series lens, but you’ll immediately notice the quality of this budget prime the first time you pick it up. It is fantastic in low light and even pretty good for macro photography with only minor chromatic aberrations with the aperture wide open at the edges. It finds its focus quickly for photography, and that quick focus slows down some for videography for a near silent focus when recording. Overall an excellent lens for the price and non-L series build that also includes lens Image Stabilization.
