This lens comes with me always. It’s sharp, fast and the pictures are always stunning no matter what I photograph. I will upgrade my Canon RP soon, but this lens will stay with me for many years to come.

This is one of the most amazing lenses. The fact that you can shoot at 1.2 and still nail focus almost every time with this lens is just crazy.
If you shoot, really anything, I highly recommend adding this lens to your kit.

First dip into RF glass and decided to go with the RF 50mm and I am not dissatisfied nor disappointed. This lens produces some of the best images out of the Canon R5 I have it paired with.
What Canon is doing with the RF lineup is what convinced me to stay with the ecosystem. New bodies will come out but the real investment is in the lenses.
In regards to weight and size: yes, in terms of size and weight it’s different from what we’re used to coming from DSLRs. However, every “YouTube” reviewer over exaggerate the weight and size. Unless you are an ant or an infant you’ll be fine carrying this bad boy around.
Overall, great quality lens added to the collection and can’t wait to add more RF lenses to the bag.

I was totally impressed by the 50 mm for its Bokeh. Saw many reviews on this lens and this really gives a candid pic. You can see the difference easily

Ahhh, the 50mm f/1.2 we've all been hoping for!
As a longtime wedding and portrait photographer, my EF 50mm f/1.2 lens was always my MUST have. I used it at every session and could shoot an entire wedding with it by itself if need be. BUT I always felt the EF version had poor focus and soft edges when zoomed in close. I had to recalibrate it multiple times a year and it still wasn't accurate.
In comes the RF version and BLOWS ME AWAY. It's expensive, but honestly worth every penny for the crispness and accuracy. I have fallen in love with the focal length all over again and love it on my mirrorless cameras. Totally worth the splurge!

Amazing lens. I recently needed to replace my EF 50mm 1.2L and since we switched to the R5 we figured it was time to make the next step into RF lenses. First this lens is big, but not heavy and balanced really well. Second the image quality is incredible. At 1.2 it’s very sharp, which is a very nice surprise. Its easily the lens that stays on my camera the most and since then we have purchased an RF 85 1.2, RF 15-35 2.8 and preordered the RF 100 macro.

As a shooter who never really dove in to the 50mm world, I was hesitant to pick this one up, but after watching/reading every review out there, I knew I had to have it and I wish I would have gotten it sooner. It's magic!
If you need the best bokeh and/or a lens that can see in the dark, this is it. Takes amazing portraits and is great in low light situations like a concert.

My new favorite lens for videos. It's awesome. It does make clicking sounds when it auto focuses- so your mics can't be on top of the camera. I use boom mic or lavalier mic on my chest to avoid the clicking sounds. farther away from the lens the better. But it looks great!

It is a high investment but I love this lens so much! It worths every penny. The quality is just the best. I have a 35mm and a 85mm but now this one doesn't leave my camera. It's heavy though, be prepare.
