Nice upgrade

Makes using the R so much easier without the EF adapter. The 1.8 aperture compensates for the lack of stabilization, the lens remains very sharp even when wide open.

Great for portraits, pet pictures and even landscapes with a little creativity. Pin sharp focus great bokeh- pretty much what you would expect but at $199 great value

There is a considerable crop when using on an APSC sensor, and this does make it hard to use indoors. Great place to start due to the affordable price.

Am I describing the $2700 85/1.2? Nope, the 50/1.8 that's $2500 CHEAPER. Just get it, you'll find more and more uses for it on your R-body Canon.
