For the price, the nifty 50 is always great. Shooting action in low light environments this is a good value choice. Soon the 1.2 but for now, you can beat the price

Despite not having Image Stabilization, the photos do come out very crisp with the ISO increased to 800-1250. The details this gorgeous lens produces is just awesome. I highly recommend this lens priced at $169.00. However, I wish it had come with a lens hood. All in all, this Canon RF 50mm F1.8 is a worthy addition to your photography arsenal.

I always keep this lens attached to my R6. Much more useful than a body cap, and at $200, not much more expensive if you lose or break it. The fact that it takes some of the sharpest images I've ever seen (regardless of price) is an obvious bonus. Amazing lens for situations when you just need to get a good picture and you need it quickly. Plastic build and not weather resistant, but the mount is metal and the plastic is really, really good. At no point did I think this lens feels cheap. Overall, 11/10 would never hesitate to recommend this lens.

Pretty great product for the price! I was looking to upgrade to a new lens for my canon r7 and I ended up buying this one because of the price and after watching multiple reviews comparing it to the other lenses I was looking at. It definitely takes a bit to get used to it since it is a fixed lens, but I think it’s a good step up from my kit lens. It is affordable and works great especially for a beginner or someone who wants a little upgrade.
