I got this for my Canon RP camera that initially came with the 24-105mm lense, which is a great lense, but nothing compared to this 50mm lense. The photos this lense puts out are so detailed and vibrant in comparison to the 24-105mm. Not to mention it’s a fantastic cost. Can’t recommend this lense enough for anyone with a compatible camera.

Great lens for the price! This focal length is my personal favorite for portrait photography. I spent so much on the R6 camera body, I couldn't afford to go all out for an expensive lens, so I opted for this one because I was used to using the 50mm 1.8 on my Rebel t6i camera body. I love it! It's a great lens if you're on a budget!

If you’re on a budget with your Canon RF mount camera, pick this “nifty-fifty” up. It’s a no brainer. So it doesn’t have IS. Use a tripod. Or purchase that big pricey lens ;) It’s a tool for those on a budget (and those that aren’t). And if you’re focused on composition and attention to detail in your movement, etc like you should be, you can create outstanding video/images with this lens. Don’t overthink you gear. Focus on your craft. Get it.

It's a nifty fifty, and offers a great value in the otherwise expensive RF lens system. The image quality is excellent, even at f/1.8, though the corners are a little soft at the wide open aperture. The reason this earns 4 instead of 5 stars is due to two reasons. The first is it suffers from focus breathing. Additionally, the auto-focus motor is noisy, though fast and precise. If you've only ever shot on a kit lens, throw this into your camera kit with its low price and you will be very thankful you have it!
