Everyone should own one of these, cheap and so much sharper than any kit lens

Good lens for its cost love how small and inconspicuous it is a 50mm so you do have to give a bit of distance which can get tricky if it’s crowded but it’s great for it’s versatility if you’re starting off this lens is awesome to find what you love to do

Definitely a GREAT lens! The automatic focus on this lens is a cheat code. bash on me all you want, it has great focus and captures excellent photos. Takes in good light. make sure to be a distance away from your target as it is a wider lens than your typical zoom one that comes with your camera.

This unsung hero of a lens can easily be the most important lens on your camera. The reason is because it is so portable, fast and sharp. I love having this 50mm on my Canon R6. I feel like I can go anywhere with it and not draw attention to myself. Exotic lenses are fun, but this is a workhorse lens for many situations like street photography, closeup photography, portraiture, and landscapes.

The nifty 50 is the a CLASSIC canon lens. regardless if you're just picking up your first camera or if you're a 20 year professional, you need this lens. Auto focus is a little slower than your USM lenses having ISM technology however its worth it for that smooth 1.8 aperture.
