LOVE THIS LENS. Backstory about previous version not this version: I've been shooting with Canon DSLR since 2007. The EF Nifty 50mm version 2, I did not like. It was one of my first lenses and it quickly lost its awe for me. It was noisy. I felt like it hunted for focus. I switched to ALL mirrorless and purchased this RF lens, much later in my mirrorless journey because I hated the first so much. OMG I fell in love with this lens. It is not noisy, slow to focus, and produces GREAT portraits. I 100% recommend buying this one, for not only beginners but advanced photographers like myself!

Great for beginners and a great main lens to use. The quality makes your camera so much better.

This lens is awesome and works great. Just what I was looking for.

Lightweight, sharp, good bokeh. Interacts well with the Canon R6. A relatively inexpensive "nifty fifty" and much lighter than the Tamron 45 mm. lens I have for my 5Diii, which I could use with the EF-RF adaptor. Happy so far.

The nifty 50 without the price, took a picture with this one at one. Eight took a picture with the 50 mm one. Four and quite a few people guess the wrong lens to the picture. Just saying

Ive used this lens for my youtube videos and for photoshoots of my daughter and it produces awesome images.

Sweet, fast prime lens. Sharp as can be. Great portrait lens too.

I used this lens on a r7, so its a 80mm equivalent but the image is sharp and focus is pretty fast

Excellent addition for low light portraits or a shallow depth of field. The 50mm is a popular size for a single-length lens and is very versatile with great quality images. Light and handy.

Awesome lens. A but lagging on the auto focus but the f1.8 more than makes up for it. Currently used to shoot high school basketball in the gym.

You can never go wrong with the nifty fifty. If you’re starting off as a photographer, this 50 with f/1.8 should support most, if not all of your needs. This glass along with a solid rig will help you capture stunning photos with incredible depth of field. Not well suited for video needs bc of the lack of internal stabilization, but it’s still so worth the price.

Excellent little lens and light, picture quality is great coming from someone that uses prime lenses, got this because it was very affordable, but it's great.
