Best investment of my life. As a starter photographer this is a great start with great results. If I can’t give one word to describe this lense would be “ Perfection “ … Run over and get you this lense you won’t be disappointed. I’m not a promoter just a person trying to start a business and this for me is a win.

Excellent lens. The bokeh is beautiful, you can get some absolutely incredible shots messing around with this lens. For the price, it's a great addition to your toolkit. Highly recommend! Using it with an R5C. Haven't tried it with video yet.

I have a Canon EOS R digital, mirrorless camera. The Canon RF 50 mm f/1.8 STM lens is an affordable, optically fast prime lens. At f/1.8, it is optically fast, and is my best lens for low light level photography. With a focal length of 50 mm, it can be used for most common situations. The lens is small and lightweight and has the RF ring to allow customizable control of the camera, e.g., aperture, shutter speed, or ISO. It is a great addition to my collection of Canon RF, EF, and FL lenses.

If you want a perfect starter lens into the RF glass then this is the choice. The nifty 50 gets it's well deserved attention as always! Perfect for portraits (photo & video)! If you could only buy one lens and get away with a lot from then the 50mm is the way to go. Can't beat the f/1.8 either. Just overall quality lens for the price.

I only give it 5 stars because of the price point. It does lack in a few ways but for the price, and size. It is a must need ESPECIALLY for new people in photography.

Great lens for the Canon R-series!
This is a very affordable, always classic lens to add to your lineup. The Nifty 50 is something every photographer should have.
And at this price, you can't help but get one!
With the new RF line Canon has made some great updates and I feel like their lenses are definitely just as important of feature updates as the camera bodies. This new lens has the great option of the control ring or focus ring, a very sturdy construction and light weight to make it a no-brainer.

Do you own a Canon camera with an RF mount? Then you probably want this in your bag.
I don't make the rules, I just know a prime 50mm is an incredibly fun and useful lens, and Canon makes a pretty decent nifty fifty. I know, because it's become my default lens.
Are there better 50mm on the market? Yeah, probably. But not at this price. And you're getting a great Canon product.

The bang for your buck is here. This lens produces sharp images on my R and with the 1.8 aperture I can get those fast shutter speed and freeze the action in lower light situations. At $200 this nifty fifty is one for the bag. It’s tricky to figure out but if you search online you can find instructions on how to set the front ring on this lens to adjust your ISO!

Great price for the first lens you should buy after getting the camera. Takes amazing portraits and can handle lower light situations pretty well. Compact and lightweight, it makes a camera like the R50 feel ultra portable and sporty.

Great 50mm lens for Canon RF mount cameras.
Plastic but light weight. Its become my main lense.
Though if you have a crop sensor camera (ASP-C) this lens is equal to a more 85mm focal length. So theres that. But at its price on sale its an excellent value.

Small, super light. I use this if I'm traveling with a larger zoom lens like a 200-500 mm lens to allow for close shots but I want to keep my pack light.
Its compact enough that its hardly noticeable in my camera bag.

Perfect for when I need a focal length between 35mm and 85mm. At f1.8 it provides a close enough feel to f1.4 that you would never notice. It is lignt and compact enough to not weigh my camera bag down.

I really like this lens! It’s an affordable lens for those starting off in photography and the images are pretty sharp too! Highly recommend for beginners on a budget.
