I was excited to know one of my favorite films was coming out in 4K. The film looks and sounds the best it can and includes the original Blu-ray as a bonus with a digital code. What really sold me was the great artwork on the Steelbook. The cover has one of the best ensemble creations I have seen. The back is classic with the original WWII shield (see photo). The inside is Cap with the troops. My only complaint is it should have included a 3D version of the film. If a film was released in theaters in 3D then it should be in the Blu-ray 4K set.

This Movie has 4K Crisp Images with HDR and Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos and the Steelbook it’s a Must have if you’re a True Fan Of The MCU

Captain America The First Avenger is a great Marvel comic movie. The steelbook will look great in your collection.

Even though physical media is becoming extinct, I always head out and get the limited edition Steelbooks.

I enjoyed the movie. I appreciated the 1940s period settings and costumes, which were a break with the usual generic cityscapes. Captain America has the strongest fo the Marvel trilogies

Great movie and nice Steelbook! Again, Marvel did a great job with this 4K release! I hope they continue the 4K Steelbooks so I can complete my Marvel UHD/Blu-ray/digital/Steelbook collection. I know they are at least doing the other two Captain America movies because they are already listed on here but there are no pictures up or release date as of now. I purposely didn't buy any of the Marvel movies when they first came out because I wanted all of them in 4K. As for the movie, it's Marvel Captain America, if you haven't seen it yet where have you been? Even if you're not into comics or superheroes it's still a great movie so at least give it a chance! Alot of people say Cap. America trilogy are the best films in the MCU but while I do agree they are very good, with "Civil War" being my favorite of the three, I wouldn't say they are the best. Captain America is just too much of a "good" guy for me. But even after saying that I still recommend this and the other two Cap. movies. Red Skull is such a great villain so watch it for him if nothing else. Also, all the Marvel movies are connected so you kinda need to watch it for that reason too.

I was curious why they were releasing Captain America Steelbooks in 4K first and not the popular Iron Man which probably lends itself to the upgrade more with its more tech look. Cap is my favorite character in the Marvel Universe but I think Marvel is trying to celebrate him before his “end” and I’m ok with that. They are executing the Steelbook treatment very well with all 3 movies receiving a “vintage” border and shield motifs on the back. I love when a series of movies has consistency in design. The finish looks like a light gloss with great artwork choice. No title on front but I don’t think it needs it at this point. It makes you want to get all 3 of Cap’s movies. In addition to the special packaging, the main draw is the inclusion of the 4K version of the movie. I would rate the upgrade a solid 3.5 out of 5. Not significant but definitely future-proofing your viewing. All in all, this is a great start to the Captain America re-releases and will definitely be sought after.

This first Captain America is a classic Marvel film that can be watched over and over again. The new 4K release, while not making giant leaps in quality over the original Blu-ray, does give us a clearer sharper and image with some enhanced colors. The Atmos audio is nicely immersive but like all of the Marvel movies (and others) released by Disney over the past two years, you have to crank your AVR's volume up to get the most out of it. Disney's sound engineers seem to have no clue as to how to properly encode the soundtracks of big action films. That aside, if you're your a fan of the Cap movies (and who isn't), this new 4K release is a nice upgrade over the Blu-ray.

This Marvel series can't be beat. It is well done and in many ways better than the X-Men collection. They've really done a great job on this movie. It has excellent cinematic affects and you can't stop watching until it is done. The action is excellent and the scenes are beautiful. Getting the 4k with Blu Ray and Digital copy is definitely the way to go and now with Movies Anywhere it makes it easy to watch wherever you go. Best Buy also has the better price now that Amazon is in VA, they charge tax on everything as well. A great thing about purchasing at Best Buy is getting rewards points which you don't get elsewhere. It quickly adds up.

Since most probably already know about the film itself my review will cover the steelbook packaging only. This is one of the best steels Best Buy has done. Sadly, steelbooks at Best Buy are "hit or miss". This one is nice. I missed out on some of the Marvel steels the first time around. My upgrades to 4K are giving me and everyone else a second chance. Steelbooks overall are just nice. They look great on the media shelf and they "face front" display great. The issue seems to be if you feel they are worth the extra $5 you have to spend on them. For films I like I don't mind the extra cost to have a great physical edition.

The movie is great. I think the Captain America movies overall are some of the best in the 10 year Marvel movie universe besides the Avengers movies. This 4k transfer is done well. Unfortunately you wont notice anything crazy when it comes to detail. HDR is well used and honestly if your TV is less than 45" it will be difficult to tell a difference between this and the blu ray. 50" and above you can tell a different but again, not a crazy amount of an upgrade here but if you must upgrade to a steelbook AND 4k this is for you. Im a sucker for Marvel movies, steelbooks and 4k so I double dipped. :)

Great origin movie of one of the MCU’s favorite characters. Chris Evans is awesome as Captain America. Also starring the fabulous Haley Atwell playing his love interest, Peggy Carter. She put in a fantastic performance as a powerful female character who’s strong, capable, and smart. I can watch this one over and over again! I already owned a blu-ray version, but bought the steelbook because I like to collect them, and it also included a new 4K option which wasn’t available for the original release 10 years ago, 4K is a great picture quality upgrade.

I grew up watching the old Captain America movies from the 80's that were horrible. No..Really...they were bad!!! Then as an adult the IRON MAN movie came out and the final words were discusing the AVENGERS INTIATIVE my jaw dropped and I couldnt tbelieve this is happening! To see all of my favorite superheroes come to life was amazing. Chris Evans gives a solid performance and Haywell Attwell is stunning as Agent Peggy Carter.If you can afford it upgrade to 4k and own this movie. Also BB does a great job with the steelbook.

It’s hard to understand why people bash The First Avenger so much. The WWII setting works fine, the cast and characters fit in well, and the plot is fine. The third act may be (debatably) the weakest part of the film, and it it’s kinda disappointing that most of the action of Captain America and the Howling Commandos during the war is compressed into a montage, but it’s a blast to see nonetheless. The movie poster as the Steelbook cover looks nice too, and is definitely worthy of owning.

I already own this movie on regular Blu-ray but then I saw it was getting a Steelbook which we didn't get in the United States previously. Decided to purchase it again for that reason alone plus I really enjoy the movie. The Steelbook looks gorgeous imo, Winter Soldier, and Civil War got similar releases but I had already purchased those so decided to not double dip for those two. If you love the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain America, and exclusive packaging then this is for you!

So I'm a movie collector and I decided that I wanted to watch all the Marvel movies in order to better understand the whole infinity stones thing and I thought it would help me better understand Avengers Endgame. If watched in the correct order, Captain America is Movie # 1 and didn't own it... so I bought it and just loved it. I had see it only once before when it was first released and I enjoyed it so much more this time around. A Must See.
