At first, I was a bit skeptical to grab this gem because I honestly thought it looked kind of stupid. Boy, was I wrong. The fact that you can't jump only adds to the excellent puzzle like gameplay, and there's far more content here than I first thought.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a standout puzzle adventure that delivers pure joy from start to finish. Each level is a beautifully crafted diorama packed with clever puzzles and hidden secrets, keeping the gameplay fresh and engaging throughout. The controls are intuitive, and the challenge ramps up nicely as you progress, making it fun for both newcomers and seasoned gamers. The game’s creativity shines in every stage, and the adorable visuals and music add to its irresistible charm. Whether you’re aiming for 100% completion or just want a relaxing, rewarding experience, this is a must-play for any Nintendo fan. Highly recommended!

If you’ve played this on Wii U, then you may not want to spend money on the same game again with just a little content added. If you really love the game or get it on a good discount it’s still worth it to me. If you’ve never played it, then I highly recommend it. It’s not too hard for younger kids but still has a lot of extra things for more experienced players.

I absolutely love this game. I originally got it when it released on the Wii U as a little boy, and now that I am quite grown up and in college with a Nintendo Switch, playing this game again really brought back a weird nostalgia and a sense of good times. It is a cute little puzzle platformer involving a Mario character that does not get the most attention, but has the most charming surprise appearances. If you are looking to experience the world of Mario from someone else's perspective, and enjoy puzzles, I highly recommend Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker.

Nintendo has all but cornered the market on streamlined, cute adventures for all ages. While Captain Toad made his first appearance in Super Mario Galaxy, he's since been spun off into his own puzzle-platforming series based on a very different type of design philosophy than you may be used to. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker debuted on the Wii U back in 2014, but as Nintendo moves much of its legacy system's library onto the Switch, Toad has another shot at stardom. And it's certainly a worthy outing--even four years on--for anyone who appreciates clever puzzles.

This game is ridiculously easy and short. I like it because the graphics are beautiful and it's full of Nintendo charm. This game has no challenge but I like to play it just to enjoy the beauty of the different stages. Not much content but fun.

Although still fun on switch, the Wii U ver. is better due to the gameplay being built around the gamepad.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker for Nintendo Switch is an absolute gem! This delightful puzzle-platformer offers a charming and engaging gameplay experience. Controlling Captain Toad on his quest to collect treasures and navigate cleverly designed levels is pure joy. The game's visuals are vibrant and captivating, bringing the whimsical world to life. The puzzles are cleverly crafted, requiring both critical thinking and exploration to uncover hidden treasures. The inclusion of touch controls and motion aiming adds an extra layer of immersion. With its delightful characters, clever level design, and addictive gameplay, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a must-play title for Nintendo Switch owners.

Captain Toad is a fun little neat game that requires you to solve through puzzles presented in a cubic, diorama-type layout. This game is fun to traverse just to the end, but it's even more fun when you're trying to clear all the objectives and collect all the items that are in each level.
The motion controls docked that replace the touchscreen controls of the Wii U version are a nice quick solution and I had no problems with it. Fun game and now you can play with a friend!

I love this game!
I'm so excited Nintendo decided to port this game to the Switch with some Odyssey levels. The game is super cute and charming, and can actually get pretty difficult when you try and get all the collectibles. The graphics look really nice on both the Switch and the TV. It's cheaper than most Switch games at $40, and it's just as fun as the more expensive titles. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy puzzle games!

Captain Toad is a 3D puzzle and platforming game. Toad doesn't jump and mostly just avoids the bad guys so that most game stages focus is on 3D rotation and puzzle solving, So that makes it great for kids (a bit education) and families as the game can still be a challenge but takes away some of the challenging platforming elements, so it's less stressful.
Toad does sometimes have toast bosses by throwing objects at them (like radishes and onions), or occasionally use the super hammer (like in Donkey Kong), or the super star (like in Super Mario Brothers) to take out enemies.
Stage designs also look good, and are fun.
There are several chapters which ramp up in difficulty, but after the easiest set of chapters the credits initially roll, so it's also great for kids who can feel like they beat the game after completing the core storyline. The late stages are challenging even for veteran gamers. Very well put-together game.

I bought this game because I wanted something fun but not to challenging. Its perfect super cute world you can take your time to find everything. It would be fun for young kids but if you are an advanced gamer its probably too easy for you and I might not recommend for someone really good at gaming.

Great game, great price but if you purchase it, and can pick it up from the store or get it delivered there.. home delivery sucked. Took about 2 weeks to arrive, had to call best buy and have it reshipped do to being lost plus delays
