great new film showing us what can happen when an alien race tries to take over our freedom and way of life. good actings and hard hitting plot made it a threat to view. seeing other lifeforms is a gas and one of the better sci-fi films to watch. high ratings by me on account of the way the life form flies on an air car of some sort. and its tuffness as an outer boarder lifeline manifests its way in the film.

Captive State is an intriguing sci-fi flick that gets a major boost from its cast, particularly ringers John Goodman, Vera Farmiga and Ben Daniels. Shot in Chicago, the location gives the story a gritty realism. Better than a lot of the more recent sci-fi films, it's worth a watch.

I waited to see this on DVD, was excited but a bit disappointed. John Goodman was excellent as far as his part. Very serious character he was playing. I was a little disappointed in the storyline. I wanted to see more of the aliens in their special environment and inside of their crafts. I have seen better movies. I am not sure if I would waste my time on this until it hits the bargain bin. I will probably watch it another time and see if I have a different opinion on it.

It is worth it to watch. The actors put on strong performances and play off of each other very well. Very detailed story telling in a genre that usually makes it about the aliens, makes this one about the characters.

Good science fiction tale of the world where humanity is essentially conquered and the Earth is occupied by a "Dark Federeration." An obvious mirror to the current state of our country and world. Does sort of end in perhaps a hokey idea where a grass roots rebellion starts against the occupiers when apparently Earth couldn't fight them off in the first place. If there is a Captive State 2, I would fear it might be like Rocky 4.

I had to watch the movie twice to understand it. Typically I like an obvious ending and this was not it. Pay attention to the final scene to understand the movie.

This movie has some odd things that the people end up doing. But you start to realize why much later in the end. Good movie. Wish it had a little more though.

The only way to get this in 4k is through streaming purchase like vudu. No 4k copy available to purchase in store. The slip cover looks great but the movie fell short of my expectation. I rarely purchase a movie without watching it first and wish I didn't with this one. Not enough of the aliens in the film. Watch it before you buy.

John Goodman does really good role. Movie keeps you very interested without over using CGI aliens or effects for a change. Ending you don't see coming!

I liked the movie..Goodman did a great job. Could have been videoed better,but that is suppose to be the point. Definitely would recommend

Debated on this one as the reviews weren't that good. But I enjoyed the movie. Thought the plot line was good and the ending surprised me.

I enjoyed the movie. It is an alien occupation movie. It gives some of the backstory and makes the viewer aware of the current story.

This is a good movie for people that like to see twists and turns in the plot. Not huge on action scenes but it makes you think.

This was by far a perty good move . Story line was good keep giving you new supriess all the way to the end.

Interesting Sci fi thriller about aliens landing on earth taking over & Enslaving Humans ... The Government follows along with the aliens whille a small group of humans form a Rebellion to free humanity get the planet & freedom back.

This movie had its moments, I would recommend it to someone who enjoys science fiction
