    A very useful magsafe accessory!

The advantage of having Magsafe on your phone is that you can add different types of accessories to your iPhone, such as a grip stand in this case. This type of accessory is easy to add and remove at any time, improving the user experience of your phone. With this grip stand —compatible with Magsafe— you can better maneuver your phone with one hand. You can also place your iPhone in portrait or landscape mode at 45 and 90 degrees to allow for a better viewing angle without having to hold the phone with one or both hands. It is worth mentioning that the magnets that connect to the phone's Magsafe are strong enough to help maintain stability in its multiple uses. The design is very attractive and made of durable, high-quality materials. If you are looking for comfort when using your iPhone, I believe this is a product that, in addition to being suitable for everyday use, is easy to install, has a nice design, and has an affordable price, making it a recommended Magsafe accessory that you cant miss.

Functional and good-looking with some trade offs

What I like: • The build is solid, the ring/stand mechanism is sound, and holds up when I am propping my phone on a desk or table. • The design aesthetic is sharp. CASETiFY nailed the look of the “Ripple” finish that is definitly pleasing to the eye. • As a stand, the angle is thought out enough to tilt to watch media comfortably and not to let the phone tip, fall, or flop. What doesn’t land so well: • The grip/stand “pop-up” mechanism is off-center when popping it up and placing your fingers underneath between it and your phone. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and holding a large device like this one handed and gripping the phone in this manner makes the grip feel far more uncomfortable to grasp than other hand grips that I have used. • Because my phone is big, that off-center position makes the phone feel slightly unbalanced during one-hand use. • It adds a bit of bulk, not excessive, but enough that you’re aware of it if you prefer slim setups. • It’s good as a stand and grip, but the mechanism does not vanish the way certain competitors do; you always feel it. Verdict: If you’re carrying the iPhone 17 Pro Max and want a stylish grip/stand combo that works, the Snappy Ripple Grip Stand is a solid option. But if ergonomics and long-term hand comfort matter most, the off-center pop-up design holds it back. Other grips in the same price range do a better job staying centered and balanced in hand. Functional and good-looking, but not the most comfortable choice for a big phone.

Snappy but off center grip area

Ive been spending some time with the Castify ripple grip. I have a iPhone 16 Pro Max and it’s a pretty big phone. So sometimes I need help holding it and this also helps with holding up on my desk to let me watch a video. Out of the box it looks nice it has a soft rubber on the outer ripple area. When attaching it, immediately it is evident on how strong the magnet is. It attached with no issues and was a very strong hold. Like I was shocked how strong it was. The grip itself imma be honest it kind of interesting as it is off center and makes it kinda ackward when you want it to be center like other brands. It uses two strap like bands to achieve the ability to get a 45 or 90 degree angle to use at a stand for the phone. That creates the weird grip. The gap in-between the straps is too small for my finger to fit through. (I don’t think that’s what it’s for) It makes it not symmetrical so you have to rotate the strong magnet on your phone to get a grip that feels ackward because it’s not center. But that being said it is solid and nice but I’m just a person that wants it centered.

This little ring couldn’t of come at a better time for me. I just used it on my trip to Japan and it came really handy for the airplane and bullet train rides. Personally, I like to rock my phone without a case or with a very slim case, and so I usually don’t have a little kickstand that I can use, but I also don’t want to always keep a grip stand there 24/7 just when I need it, and so this one was perfect for my needs. Overall, the quality built is as expected from Casetify, feels and looks super durable. I would recommend it to a friend no doubt. That said, here are a couple of things that I would of liked to be different and I would of have given it a 5 stars. For someone who wants to keep it on their phone all the time, it probably would not work. It’s too big for this. It’s strong enough but definitely too big for my liking. The white color looks okay for my black case and there seems to not be a black option so far, so keep this in mind too. Over time it may also not look as white.

My wife has a Popsocket kick out stand and she swears by it. So, when I got this, I was hoping for a similarly stellar experience. But it falls short in a few key areas. First off, this does not include a metal ring, for non-magsafe phones to be able to use this accessory as well, like the Popsocket one does. Thankfully, I didn't need one for my phone, but buyer beware. The install is straight forward, you just align it to the magsafe ring and it just attaches itself to the phone. This is where the awkwardness starts and I am going to keep comparing it to the Popsocket one, since that's the other similar item I have used. In the "open" position, where you are supposed to be able to hold the phone, it doesn't just stay open, if you are moving it from hand to hand, the mechanism wants to automatically close and go back to the flat state. So, you end up pulling on it to open again. Plus this "holding" position is only good in a single orientation. If you've set it up so the flaps are horizontal, then you can easily hold it in portrait mode. Holding it in landscape mode, means your fingers have to stretch over the horizontal flaps, that are large enough that this is not a comfortable position. Or I think as intended you should rotate the way the holder is attached to your phone by 90 degrees. Here comes the kicker though, I am not sure what material is used here, but it doesn't give me a lot of confidence that if I keep taking it off or rotating it with the flap open, that this will hold the test of time. Anyways, in the "stand" mode it does hold with the magnets and it works as a stand at 2 angles in the portrait mode (pretty much straight up or about 45 deg), and without changing anything, it can also act as a stand in landscape mode. Overall, I wish this was a better product or at least had a significantly better price compared to its competition

    Large with Strong Magnet

The magnet holds the Grip nice and tight to the phone, even with a case on. It is a very strong magnet, as one would expect. The Grip itself is quite large, maybe a little too large. I do have large hands and fingers, but the Grip used as a grip is fairly tight for my fingers to fit under. It also only works at one angle of attachment as a grip, the underside is rectangular that is about the diameter of the Grip. I have had to remove the Grip and reattach so I could use it as a grip after using it as a stand. The stand configuration is also a little too upright depending on the angle of the Grip/rectangle. If you have it set as a grip, the phone is too upright for comfortable viewing. Rotating the Grip only lowers it slightly. It works as a stand, in landscape mode, but not comfortably. In portrait mode, it is at a comfortable angle. If you are going to charge your phone wirelessly, you have to remove the Grip. There is no passthrough. So nightly I am removing it so I can charge my phone. Then I forget it in the morning, and go through my day without. That is on me, but it is an inconvenience in my mind. Overall, this works well, but you will be playing with it a lot to get the right angle of attachment. The knob is very large and somewhat uncomfortable. On the plus, it holds the phone very well with the magnet strength. If you use a magnetic dock/charger in the car, you will have to remove the grip for it to work. After the first few days with it, I keep leaving it on the nightstand during the day. Not intentionally, it just became an afterthought. I figure it will start getting left in the car if i get a magnetic mount in the car.

I must say that Casetify does an excellent job at packaging, and it feels like your opening a premium product when you’re opening the box. I thought it was going to be too thick and get caught in my pocket, but it hasn't. I do still think it’s a bit too thick but at least it doesn't get caught. The magnets are just strong enough to make removing it easy but not too easy so that it'll fall off. The stand is sturdy, but it would be nice to have more range of lean. It’s comfortable enough in the fingers when holding it, albeit a little awkward if it's not twisted the right way. Speaking of, when changing the direction of the stand, it’s a bit hard to do when it's collapsed and feels like it could tear when it’s open. It hasn't yet and that's one of my big fidgeting things, but it just feels a little weak. I wish maybe in a version 2 that it had a way to spin so there as a fidget value to the stand. Also, the lack of colors makes it seem plain. I feel like the white will get dirty over time. If there where complimentary colors to the phone colors that would be really neat. Overall, it’s a nice grip stand and if you're ok with those few cons then I do recommend it.

    CASETiFY Snappy Grip Stand

So I received my CASETIFY Snappy Grip Stand a few days ago and have been testing it out on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. Now CASETiFY has a nice product line of accessories from cases and alike and have become a trusted brand over the years, so I expected a pretty solid product going into testing this stand. First off its very easy to attach it to the back of your phone (must be MagSafe) or to the back of your iPhone case. That's the easy part. Now when it comes to functionality of this product, that's where I feel CASETiFY missed the mark. In the few days that I tested this product, I found it difficult at times trying to adjust or turn the stand grippy part around. One thing I will say is that it does have a strong magnetic connection once attached to your phone or case. However, positioning it just right to where the stand can be used to position your phone in portrait or landscape mode was not as seamless. When you pull the grip part out, there's a thin piece of material (initially I thought it was paper, but its not) that is attached to the pull out grip part and the magnetic part. Trying to turn it and position it just right felt as though it was gonna snap or tear. This was not the best design in my opinion. There are better and easier to use brands out on the market for a phone stand. Not something that I would recommend to anyone.

Great as a stand, a little uncomfortable as grip

I like Casetify products and the Snappy Grip stand is an unsual one, it's a MagSafe Grip and Stand for your iPhone. It's about a piece of paper thinner than socket-type grps and has an an interesting fold out scissor-style design. The benefit of this is it the the Snappy Grip Stand truly makes an excellents tand for your iPhone (I'm using a Pro Max) and it holds your phone steady either landscape or portraint. You do have to rotate the Snappy if you want to shift from portrait to landscape and I do kind of worry about the strength of the stand being turned, so I am removing it to re-magsafe it to your phone. Not that this is the end of the world, it's definitely better at this task that a socket or metal ring. However, as a grip, the Snappy is a little uncomfortable to me. Why? The scissor movement doesn't hold your fingers in as tight as a socket-type gripp and the flex in the scissor is somewhat disconcerting. You have a wide space between your fingers and, at least for me, it doesn't feel right. This means, overall, I'm giving the Snappy Grip a 3 stars because it's a great stand but just an OK grip.

A mere ripple among phone grips

There are many pros and cons with this product that offset one another resulting in a pretty mediocre phone grip. Overall the build quality of the phone grip is good. The grip has a strong magnet making it feel quite secure. The material on the exterior of the surface is great and resembles a silicone. It has a desirable tacky feel without picking up tons of dust- providing good grip. A large downside of the grip is the size, thickness, and weight. Due to the thickness of the grip sliding your phone in and out of pockets becomes slightly more cumbersome. The strong magnet adds quite a bit of unnecessary weight which does not go unnoticed. These three downsides don’t provide much upside. The main upside is the phone stand function. The grip allows you to place your phone both, horizontally and vertically. However the angle of the stand is not adjustable. I found the horizontal orientation to be too upright to comfortably enjoy a show or movie. Overall, given the price point and weighing the pros and cons I would not recommend this product.

    Why is this so expensive

So I can't figure out why this is so expensive. It has similar functionality to that of numerous name brand and non-name brand competitors but actually does things worse than said competitors. Yet it costs quite a bit more than these competitors. The 'hinge' only opens at a certain angle / position so you have to always make sure the stand is in the right position in order to serve the correct purpose when you pull it out at the hinge. Moreover it's difficult to hold it in the popped open position (which seems counter-intuitive as that is exactly what this device is for - allowing to hold your phone securely without worrying about dropping your phone) since only 'half' of it allows your finger to slide under - the other half is blocked by the mechanism that allows you to use the grip as a stand to prop up your phone to watch videos or for whatever reason. But, getting back to my biggest issue - I just don't get why this was priced so high. It tells me that Casetify's marketing department is detached from reality.
