I absolutely love this movie and when it came out in bluray, had to buy it and was not disappointed at all in the beautiful artwork looking even more spectacular! Great story perfect for a family time movie.

I highly recommend recommend if you’re Miyazaki fan

The first Studio Ghibli film, this is one amazing piece of work. Excellent animation and story. Definitely check it out.

The story and characters are interesting. This movie also takes you to unexpected and beautiful landscapes. The animation quality is top notch while still retaining a familiar and comforting '80's touch.

Not one of Miyazaki's best imo, but that's like saying a cheese pizza isn't as good as a supreme pizza. All of his films are great, just in varying order depending on your tastes.

This is certainly no spirited away. The artwork is good, but it feels more like a modern day cartoon with villains who are… well bad just to be bad. Ok movie, but doesn’t live up to the Ghibli par IMO. Worth a watch.

This isn’t a review of the movie itself, but of the specific copy I received. I was so excited to find a replacement for my old scratched-up copy of one of my favorite movies, but half the lines are missing. Any lines spoken off “camera” are simply gone and it’s an absolute travesty. The movie is not nearly as good without the missing lines and I’m seriously considering returning what I consider a defective and incomplete copy of this wonderful movie.
