The router functions as router and Wi-Fi for the DSL line eliminating extra hardware.

Sadly this is the third C1000 router/modem I've had to purchase in the past year. The first one just stopped working for no apparent reason, the second one was brought home which then proceeded to fail within the first hour of use, and finally this one has been working for the past 3 weeks. I don't have a lot of faith in this product, or the company who manufactures it, but until there's another more reliable option to use with Century Link, this is really the only modem/router that will work. Other providers aren't an option, and as such we're stuck with this flaming pile for Internet access.

I purchased this: CenturyLink - ADSL/VDSL Modem and Wireless-N Router with 4-Port Ethernet Switch over a month ago and so far so good it works great.

Did what I expected it to do as far as increasing my Internet speed and connectivity

Good unit if you have a smaller area and want to use the built in wifi. If you have a better coverage you might want add a range extender.

There are NO instructions regarding what any of the buttons mean. Also there are no hints for troubleshooting. Without the box working, we didn't have internet to figure out why the internet wasn't working & when called the help line they were clueless.

A little trouble hooking printer to it. But overall it was exactly what we needed

It works as well as the other reviews said it did. Great range throughout the house and outside.

It works great and I just hope it lasts! I have gone through a lot of modem/routers, but refuse to rent them from my internet carrier!

Best Buy is a great place for all our electronics. The modem and router is just what was needed.

Modem is bit on the expensive side but good product with fast connection

I tried two of these and could not get either to work with my ISP who is not CenturyLink. The DSL function worked fine, but I could not configure it to work with my assigned static IP address. I exchanged it for an ActionTec unit which was fully configurable and works well for my application

none it's not worth really writting about I wouldn't buy another one.

I purchased the unit since I am a CenturyLink subscriber and it was "blessed" as being the best for my service. Set-up was pretty straightforward with the on-line instructions getting me operational quickly. I have a two computer wireless network with a shared wireless printer and now have to reset the modem 2-3 times a week to restore full functionality (2nd computer loses internet access, printer can not be addressed, network locks up, etc.). Pretty disappointed.

I would recommend this modem/wireless router, it is one of the best ones I have used.

I was forced by Century Link to buy this router/modem. It is slow and the wifi router is not as fast as I am used to. It was a very hard purchase as Best Buy did not have any in my area.

This modem is working well for me. It's easy to operate and gets good reception.

The product works well but is lacking in ease of setup.

Does what its supposed to do. Unfortunately can only be used with century link service (if you're in an area with more than one dsl provider)
