The charger worked great for my wife's iPhone even with a cover on it but we discovered that the time can only be set for a 12 or 24 hour clock. You can not program the clock for AM and PM. If you want to have the alarm go off 6 AM on the 12 hour setting it will also go off at 6 PM. If you only want the alarm to go off at 6 AM only you must use the 24 hour clock setting but in the afternoon when it is 3:00 PM the clock face will show 15:00 Be aware that the pictures on the box are misleading. The pictures for the clock show AM and PM but the clock can not be programmed for AM and PM. We returned this clock and purchased one from a different manufacturer.

Basic controls are on the bottom of the clock instead of the top like all other clocks so, to turn off the alarm, you have to get out of bed, pick up the clock and press one of the buttons. Also, there is no screen indicator showing that the alarm is activated or not.
