Better than the Ooler in nearly every way

Summary
Easy to set up, cools and warms better than the Ooler, better scheduling app than the Ooler, a bit less cushy than the Ooler but still comfortable, Google Assistant integration is great (more on that in the last paragraph.)
Full Review
I've been a Ooler user for a few years and decided to upgrade to the Dock Pro. The Ooler worked fine but I kept hearing that the Dock Pro cools better. I live in an area where Fall and Spring is unpredictable weather. So there are times when I don't have AC's in the windows but it does get unbearably hot for a day or two. This is where a sleep system comes in handy. The Ooler worked but if it was 70+ degrees in the bedroom and I wanted to bring the Ooler down to between 60-65, sometimes it wouldn't even get there. Especially if I was already in bed (more on that later.)
So far, the Dock Pro is able to keep up. Upon initial setup, the temp in the room was 70 and the Dock Pro defaulted to that temp. I turned it down to 65 and it took about 15 mins to fully get down to that temp. Speaking of setup, I did not find this difficult at all. Put the mattress pad on, connect the hose to the pad and the Dock Pro, plug it in, take the cap off the reservoir, power it in, add the cleaning solution to the reservoir and then fill with water. The unit will draw water into the pad as you are adding it so you'll see the level going down if you are pouring slowly. Eventually the pad will fill and you continue to fill the reservoir til it is full. Once water was added, I downloaded the app, went to add device and the Dock Pro appeared. Connected and good to go. The first thing that app suggests is creating a schedule.
Setting up a schedule on the Dock pro is much easier or more intuitive I guess, than in the Ooler app. Basically for those unfamiliar, you can pick days of the week, a start time/temp, an end time/temp and then any time/temperature changes throughout the night as you see fit. The app makes some suggestions along the way. You can also set it to warm up as a wake measure. It will continue to raise the temp starting 20 mins before your set wake time. One thing I was hoping for and had always wanted in the Ooler app was the ability to copy a schedule so I could make minor tweaks for weekends vs weekdays. Unfortunately they still haven't added this in. So you have to manually create a new schedule from scratch rather than copy and tweak the first for example. Would have been so much easier to copy and change the wake time or turn off the wake alarm.
Other differences from the Ooler worth noting?
1. I found the Ooler to be relatively quiet. I always kept it on the silent mode unless I was struggling to get the temps down in warmer weather. In the quiet mode there was still a faint fan noise but nothing problematic. The Dock Pro doesn't have any sound levels to adjust but the sound isn't much more than the Ooler's quite mode. The Dock Pro is more of a white noise sound than a fan sound though. Similar audible level but just a different sound. Either one gets drowned out by my bedroom fan.
2. As for cooling, the Ooler would have trouble, on hot days, getting the temp down. Especially if I was already in bed. To remedy this, I would make sure I have the covers over the pad at night before the Ooler started. I would also set the bed time to a half hour before my actual bedtime. This would put less strain on the Ooler to cool things down before I added my own body temp. With the Dock Pro, this seems less necessary. It's still a good idea to get your bed ready for you though.
3. The Dock Pro pad isn't uncomfortable but I found the Ooler to be more comfortable. It has a little more quilted feel on top. Despite being able to feel the tubes ever so slightly on the Ooler, it did feel better. Although, having said that, the Ooler pad shifted more and would have to be readjusted occasionally. Both pads have two straps that loop under the mattress. The Dock Pro though adds some stretchy fabric at the head and foot of the pad that stretch along the sides of the mattress. This seams to hold it in place better.
Lastly, after 3 or 4 days, so far no leaks. Knock on wood. I am also using an adjustable bed. Chilisleep said there were no problems with this but I still had my concerns. Eight Sleep doesn't recommend it with their mesh pad and seeing that the Dock Pro moved this way, I had my doubts. This was one of the main reasons I have gone with the Chilisleep products. So far so good with having both the headrest and foot of the bed elevated. Pro tip, it's October as of the writing of this review, if you are on the fence with this and have concerns with leaking, now might be the opportune time to order from Amazon. They have their extended return policy for the holidays so it's kind of like getting a 3 month trial period. This way you can return up until the end of January if any issues arise, instead of dealing with the manufacturer. That's honestly what pushed me to order. There seams to be quite a few reviewers complaining about leaking. That was also the case for the Ooler though too. And I sometimes wonder how careful these folks are when installing though.
I almost forgot the best part, the Google Assistant integration. This is something the Ooler didn't have and could probably never do since it connected via BT. The Dock Pro connects via Wifi which allows for smart home integrations. Alexa isn't available yet but with Google Assistant I can wake in the middle of the night and ask Google to raise the temperature if it's too cold. With the Ooler, I would have to roll over, reach for the phone, open the Ooler app and change the temp. I haven't gone through and done so yet but I suspect this could lead to some IFTTT set ups. This is similar to what the Sleepme tracker would do but that's a paid subscription.

Ive used CHILIPAD for 10 years now. CANNOT sleep without it. Last one finally gave out after years but I wasnt ready to buy this newer model. The heatwave came and i just kept waking up. So I upgraded to this, plugged it in and I swear to god I cried the next morning waking up knowing immediately I had slept soundly and deeply and it was 105 outside. Restored my SANITY!! All my love to all the engineers who have evolved this product to what it is today. This new model is the coldest yet and freskin silent. I dont know how they were able to pull off a silent fan cooling water that is working so hard to remove all my body heat. I believe this machine is also meant for biohackers trying to live longer. I knowif I were to add up all the extra hours of sleep ive gotten the last ten years i would have thousands of more hours than my friends. Im 43 haven’t lost a single hair yet, and every man in my family is bald. Im just reaching deeper sleep stages. I didnt even know there were different stages of sleep. My guardian angel pointed me to this.

I enjoy my new ChiliSleep system. The machine is very quiet, and the app functionality allows you to easily control the system. The mattress pad is very comfortable, and easily fits my bed. This device learns your sleeping patterns and helps keep you feeling good.

Its good but the unit puts off a ton of heat. The mattress topper greatly changes the way your bed feels.

I debated back and forth between this and eight sleep. I ultimately purchased this for the cooling power and I’m so glad I did! If you need something that cools fast and gets to low temperatures this is it. Ours did have a water sensor issue, the co said to shake it and the sensor will pick up again and it did in case you have similar issues.

This was great for the first six months, but it developed leak and now I’m trying to get it replaced. The price compared to the durability is not worth it.

I have always been a big fan of Chili products and have owned a cube system before the dock pro. The cube was great but the dock pro is on another level. whether you need to keep your bed cool or warm this is the way to do it. The fact that this unit is controlled by an app is awesome, I love being able to set up a program that adjusts the temperature trough out the night. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that has trouble controlling the temperature during their sleep.

Quality issues on pads

Had 2 units for under a month and have had to replace the pads 3 times due to leaks from a factory quality issue. Unfortunately they have had so many issues they now have a backlog for replacements and havent been able to enjoy the units for weeks due to not having pads that dont leak.
