This is a great device to play minimal side scrolling games. Anything else will be laggy and make the fans kick in full blast. Other than that it is awesome for streaming games from a gaming PC.

This device can be really cool and really frustrating at the same time. The MSI software can be a headache, and I personally had to install third-party control software for it to work the way I wanted. However, when you work with a game to get it running well, it can be very rewarding. I can play Forza Horizon 5 and emulate no problem. The battery is a little lacking when playing unplugged. It may last around 2 hours.

For what I do with it I haven't had any issues, no slowdowns, no crashes, I can't play the most demanding AAA games here but that is not what this is for, at least for me, we have to know the limitation of this handheld devices, just remember, is a Windows 11 Mini PC, if is not for you don't get it, fortunately it has worked for me wonderfully

It is a great handheld. I really liked it and it’s worked perfect for the games I enjoy playing. It’s a nice size and the battery life is okay. The only issue I have had so far is charging is a problem sometimes, but I think I have resolved that problem.

First things first, if you are new to pc handhelds, these are not game consoles. They are PC’s dressed up as handhelds. That means messing around with a lot of settings for each game, dealing with windows updates, and bios + driver updates before jumping into a game. With that out of the way. This MSI claw A1M, base model is an absolute deal. Where other handheld PC’s run anywhere up to $1300, this one comes in at $380. Albeit, due to the price, we are given a 512 gb ssd (ssd can be upgraded) and 16 gb of ram but it has not been an issue playing the games that i have, incuding cyberpunk at around 50 fps. The fans are also noticeable but much quieter than the competition. This system also runs the new intel gpu/cpu which after driver updates, is very efficient for a little chip. I cant recommend this enough, playing games is much more accessible. BUT the biggest drawback is the battery, which in my case lasts about an hour, so hopefully os updates in the future can help with minimizing bloatware from windows.

It works great and can compete against the more higher end pc handhelds. However, it stutters on very high end graphic settings and has a little bit of control problems with the MSI menu.
Better option aside from the Legion Go for Windows

You don't have to worry about your SD card getting melted, something that just happens on Rog Ally. Also you don't have to deal with Linux compatibility issues like the steamdeck. The system works great and Intel is really investing on their Arc system, just need some time with the drivers compared to the other 2 that have hardware issues and OS issues.

I’m thoroughly impressed with the MSI Claw. The build quality is exceptional, and it’s incredibly comfortable to hold for extended periods. While it’s true that there are negative reviews about this handheld, I’ve found the gaming experience to be great. It’s important to remember that not everything you read online is accurate. Storage is lacking and I’ll upgrade SSD down the line, however I would definitely purchase it again.

I wanted a pc without breaking the bank and boy!!! The MSI was worth it! I mainly wanted it for games like schedule 1 and repo! And I have no complaints for the price!!!
