This movie takes place at the turn of the century, 1800s into 1he 1900s. We get a view of pulp fiction writing at the time. The French, with their tolerance for open relationships, knew how to have a good time. Visually the movie is stunning and Keira Knightly is completely convincing as a woman finding herself as a writer and relationship partner.

Good, I would recommend this to all my friends and family members and coworkers.

My wife and I were not able to see this movie in our local movie theater and am happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and am looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

very moving and a great watch. 10/10 would recommend

Although the movie is based on a real person, i.e. Collette, it was fraught with the problem of it not only being quite slow at times, but also of much erratic push and pull between Collette, her husband, and Collette's many lovers (both male and female). It was a very difficult movie to watch and seemed quite bizarre. I can't quite say that it was enjoyable to watch.

Knightly is great as usual but this was underwhelming.

It's so nice to see more stories featuring LGBTQ protagonists. Really excellent movie following Colette's journey of being a writer, struggling against societal norms, and her struggles with her place in the world and strife with her husband over differing views of who she should be.
