College Football 25 brings the return of college football gaming after a long hiatus, and it’s clear EA has put effort into creating an experience that captures the excitement and pageantry of college football. Here’s a breakdown of the key elements that make this game stand out, along with a few areas where it could still improve.
Graphics & Presentation
On the PS5, the graphics are nothing short of stunning. Stadiums look lifelike, with fans waving flags, marching bands performing, and team colors bright and vibrant. EA has done a remarkable job in bringing the college atmosphere to life, and the enhanced hardware of the PS5 allows for smooth gameplay, detailed player models, and realistic animations.
Gameplay Mechanics
The gameplay is responsive and fluid, and the new engine shows off the hard work put into physics and player movements. The control scheme feels intuitive, especially for veteran players familiar with the Madden series. However, College Football 25 introduces some unique plays and formations true to the college game, which add variety and authenticity. Each school’s style, from Georgia’s dominant defense to Oregon’s high-speed offense, feels unique and plays to the strengths of its real-world counterpart.
Dynasty Mode
Dynasty Mode is back and better than ever, allowing players to recruit, train, and manage a team over multiple seasons. It’s rewarding to build up a program from a lesser-known school or maintain the dominance of a powerhouse like Georgia or Alabama. The scouting and recruiting systems are deep but accessible, letting you focus on assembling a team that fits your vision.
Road to Glory Mode
Road to Glory mode provides a single-player experience that lets you build your own college football journey, starting from high school and working through the challenges of earning a starting spot in college. This mode feels a bit like a story-driven RPG, with decision-making elements that can affect your career. It’s a fun addition that adds more depth to the game and provides replay value as you can take different paths and play for different schools.
Atmosphere & Authenticity
EA has managed to recreate the electrifying college football environment with crowd chants, fight songs, and unique traditions for each school. The game includes real college coaches, rivalries, and even college playoff formats, making each game feel as if it’s part of a larger season. EA’s focus on authenticity is clear, and it’s thrilling to hear stadium chants and school songs echo as you make key plays.
Room for Improvement
One area where College Football 25 could improve is in the commentary, which sometimes feels generic and can repeat too often over a long season. Also, while the game is immersive, there are occasional glitches, such as players clipping or odd AI decisions

EA SPORTS College Football 25 (PS5)
I’ve been waiting years for a real college-football game to come back, and College Football 25 definitely scratches that itch. It feels fresh, looks great on PS5, and captures a lot of what makes college football special — but it also has some rough spots that hold it back from being elite.
⸻
What I Liked
• The atmosphere is on point.
The game nails the stadium feel — crowds, bands, entrances, rivalry energy. Big schools feel big, and it really brings that college-gameday hype.
• Gameplay feels strategic and fun.
The new fatigue and “wear and tear” system actually matters. Players get tired, take damage over the game, and you really have to manage your roster. It makes each drive feel more realistic.
• Dynasty Mode is where the game shines.
If you like building programs, recruiting, and trying to take a small school to the top, this mode has a ton of replay value. It’s deep enough to keep you hooked for months.
• It’s just fun.
Calling plays, breaking big runs, pulling off a comeback — it’s enjoyable even with its flaws.
⸻
What I Didn’t Like
• The menus are clunky.
Simple things sometimes require navigating through a lot of screens. It makes setting up modes or making changes feel slower than it should.
• Not all schools get equal treatment.
Some teams look amazing with their traditions and atmosphere. Others feel generic, which can be disappointing if you play with a smaller program.
• Road to Glory feels unfinished.
The player-career mode has potential but lacks depth. You don’t really feel connected to your character, and decisions don’t have much weight.
• Bugs and odd moments still pop up.
Nothing game-breaking, but it’s clear the game is still finding its footing in year one.
⸻
Overall
Despite some issues, College Football 25 is a strong start for the return of this franchise. The gameplay and atmosphere alone make it worth playing, and if you love Dynasty Mode, you’ll get a ton of hours out of it. It’s not perfect, but it’s absolutely a promising foundation.
If you want, I can also write shorter versions like:
• a 2-sentence review
• a review in casual slang
• a professional review
• a hype-style review for a team page

EA College Football 2025 on PS5 is an absolute blast and a long-overdue return to form for college football fans.
From the moment you boot it up, the atmosphere is outstanding. The stadiums feel alive, the crowd noise ramps up organically, and the pageantry of college football — fight songs, rivalries, traditions — is front and center in a way that genuinely sets it apart from the pro game. It finally feels like college football again.
Gameplay strikes a great balance between accessibility and depth. Animations are smooth, player movement feels responsive, and the speed of the college game really comes through. There’s a noticeable sense of momentum — big plays matter, hostile road environments feel intimidating, and runs of good or bad play can swing a game quickly.
What really shines is the presentation and immersion. Dynasty mode is addictive, recruiting feels meaningful without being overwhelming, and managing a program over multiple seasons is deeply satisfying. On PS5, everything looks and runs beautifully, with fast load times and crisp visuals that highlight the energy of each game day.
Most importantly, EA College Football 2025 feels like it was made with respect for what fans missed. It’s not just a reskin or nostalgia play — it’s a confident, modern football game that understands why the college version of the sport is special.
For anyone who grew up with the original series or just loves football games with personality and passion, this is an easy recommendation and one of the most enjoyable sports titles in years.

My Review

As an RPG-and-story-driven gamer, College Football 25 wasn't even on my radar. I don't keep up with college football, and I have little experience with sports games beyond button-mashing when friends foist a controller in front of me. When I decided to take a chance on playing this game out of curiosity, as well as some peer pressure, I found myself actually really enjoying myself.
First of all, the presentation is fantastic. From the electric stadium crowds to the individual player animations, CFB 25 absolutely gets college football right. It’s not just the graphics; it’s the vibe. The game gets that hectic, emotional, and near-ritualistic feel that is college athletics. As an outsider, I found myself becoming swept away.
The thing that actually drew me in, though, was the Dynasty mode. There's no need to be an NFL aficionado in order to enjoy creating a team from scratch through the process of recruiting players, allocating resources, and planning for the future in an almost management sim-like way, which resonated with me. It also provided an added motivation for caring about something other than "win the game next."
Gameplay is certainly going to have a small learning curve, but the game does its best to acclimate you. I never once had the sensation of being overwhelmed, even when I didn't have all the plays down. Difficulty modes and assist options are available so that if you're not used to playing the football mechanics, they can help. And once you begin to master reading defenses or executing a flawless pass, it is just as satisfying.chatgpt use
The commentary and sound design are also worthy of praise. They provide an added layer of immersion I wasn't anticipating. Although I wasn't deeply attached to either team, I did feel the stakes because the game sold the drama so well.
Last Thoughts: College Football 25 convinced me even though I have absolutely no experience playing sports games. It’s user-friendly, fun, and actually pretty in-depth. Try it out if you’re like I was, on the fence—you could find yourself screaming like an avid fan in no time.

I’ve been playing College Football 25 on PS5 and I’m loving it so far. The gameplay feels smooth, the atmosphere is electric, and it really captures the energy of college football in a way that’s been missing for years. The team customization, crowd noise, and school traditions add a ton of depth, and it’s just been a blast jumping back into dynasty mode. If you’re a fan of college ball, this one’s absolutely worth the wait.

After an 11-year hiatus, EA Sports College Football 25 has stormed back onto the scene, delivering a love letter to college football fans that’s as exhilarating as a game-winning touchdown in overtime. This long-awaited revival captures the heart and soul of the sport with stunning authenticity, addictive gameplay, and a level of detail that makes every moment feel like a Saturday showdown in a packed stadium. A Orlando has meticulously recreated the pageantry of college football, from the roar of the crowd to team-specific traditions like Pitt’s infamous “Meow” or West Virginia’s Mountaineer Field complete with coonskin-cap-wearing fans.
In the end, College Football 25 is a touchdown for fans who’ve waited over a decade for its return. It’s not just nostalgia—it’s a modern, polished, and deeply engaging sports game that captures the chaos, passion, and strategy of college football

First things first , all these people leaving 1 star reviews because they didn’t get their preorder on time, please stop! That has nothing to do with the game. So please stop crushing the review scores because your mad at Best buy or the post office. Back to the game: is it perfect, no. But the most important thing to note is that it plays nothing like Madden and feels like the game we remember from 2014. Tackling and hitting feels great. The way the QBs sling the ball around look and feel awesome. Running in this game is tight. Very nice controls that at times feel overpowered, but not so much that it detracts from the fun factor. And a lot of fun it is. The college atmosphere is terrific. From the customized team specific entrance routines to the crowd chants, marching bands, mascots, etc. You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into this game and it is greatly appreciated. So glad to have the series back and looking forward to rhe continuation of growth moving forward. This should also help push Madden in the right direction by creating a healthy competition between the developers to make each game better and better. Great to see this and excited for what lies ahead!

College Football 25 absolutely delivers. The atmosphere feels electric, the stadiums look incredible, and the presentation makes every game feel like a real Saturday showdown. Gameplay is smooth, player movement feels more realistic than past entries, and the new physics make every play feel earned.
Dynasty Mode is the real star — deep recruiting, meaningful progression, and the feeling that every decision matters. Road to Glory is fun, immersive, and actually gives you reasons to keep grinding.
Is it perfect? No game is. But this is easily the best college football experience we’ve had in over a decade. If you’ve been waiting for college football to return to gaming, this is 100% worth it.
It’s nostalgic, it’s modern, and it’s a blast.

I’m one of those crazy people that bought PS5 just so I could play College Football 25. Sure down the road I will eventually purchase more games but I feel victim to buying the hype of the return of college football to gaming consoles.
Overall, the game is great. Yes it has its bugs, but the dev team is doing an awesome job (up to this point) in finding them and curing them. It’s refreshing to see a team of developers who actually care about the feedback they receive from their audience.
The graphics are great. The extreme attention to detail is fascinating to see. The gameplay is very good, with some bugs that have already gotten fixed or have at least been announced to get fixed. The playability is extremely good. Of course Dynasty is the premier stop for most players. I’m early in Year 2 of my Dynasty and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience up to this point.
I definitely recommend this game to others. Be patient with the bugs; the vast majority are far from ruining your gaming experience with only a few being a minor infraction (in my opinion).
