I ordered a remote start for my car and had scheduled an appointment for the install about a month out. I was told the day before my appointment that "the tech that is scheduled that day is not certified to do that install." So not only did you guys screw up by scheduling it on a day that might not work, but you have techs working there that are not certified? Well, let me come back to this.
Not only did you just cancel my appointment, but your guys also lied to me, saying that the "Compustar" remote start I had bought was not going to be the best fit and that the "Viper" would be a "much better" fit. Your guys also somehow tried to put this on me and told me that I would need to come in and reschedule an appointment. When I came in to reschedule my appointment, I was told by one of your workers that the tech who was scheduled to do my install either does one of two things when confronted with a problem like this: either make the job easier for himself or just not do the job at all.
The technician they were referring to is Calvin. Not only that, but Calvin is the one who called me and canceled my appointment because he said the tech that day isn’t certified to do the work. Calvin is the tech who was scheduled that day. So he called me and canceled my appointment that was with him because he didn’t want to do a "hard" job. I do not care if it’s a hard job; I had already purchased the remote start that included the install. That was $300+ dollars, so him just canceling my appointment is incredibly frustrating because he did not want to do the job. I genuinely have never felt so insulted and upset with a company before.
I will and have continued to tell all my friends and family to never do any business with Best Buy or with Geek Squad. You guys gave me the hardest time, made this extremely difficult, and a painful experience. The guys over at Geek Squad need to be trained on customer service and how to deal with problems. Best Buy, you need to step up your game. Again, I would not recommend Best Buy to anyone. Not only are you guys expensive with your products, but your customer service is also terrible. I am extremely disappointed with your service. Please let me know how you plan to fix this and make this right.

1-star due to the follwing: Ordered product on 11/29. Appointments were being scheduled 1-month put due to holidays. Scheduled appointment for 12/28. According to the product listing, “Installation Harness packaged separately and will be available at time of installation.” but that is where everything went wrong. On 12/23, I received a phone call and an email that my order did not contain everything I needed for my appointment. The agent in scheduling told me I needed an additional cable ($12.99) and they had to order the harness, which they charged me $0.01 for (unsure why). Since the items were not included in the original product order, they were now back ordered and due to the holiday they wouldn’t be available for 2 weeks. Thus, my appointment that I had already been waiting a month for got moved to February and Best Buy was no help in finding me a sooner available slot even though, as a customer, I followed the listing and all of the reviews and interpreted the listing as saying the harness would be in stock for my appointment. I do not understand why my order did not include everything needed or why Best Buy did not confirm that until 5 days before my appointment. 5 days is not enough time to order additional parts, and it is frustrating that the listing implies these are included. This is a problem that could have been solved 4 weeks ago but instead I am forced to wait an additional 6 weeks to get the product installed in my vehicle.

It works ok. Alarm goes off from to time it has a lag of response it takes 1 or 2 seconds to actually operate. Other than that I’m happy with it.

Product works but not 100% of the times, and once the remote control doesn’t show if vehicle is already running you will have to look outside and see if the headlights are flashing .
The most difficult part was talking to sales person from inside Gurnee store to ask information about the product and all they told me was the right part but even after asking them about additional parts for installation they kept saying nothing else was required.
Unfortunately they gave the wrong information and I had to call de installation guy to ask him and ended up spending extra $60 for additional wiring harness.
Not happy with the installation as well. Alex the tech missed bolts from the electronic unit on back of my Audi trunk and damaged the head of other screws as well.
I asked him when picking up the vehicle and he told me : that was like that before and I am sure was not once I am mechanic and I am the only one that had touched that since new.
I also asked about the electronic box been lose and he asked me if I want to have it ziptied ?the most importante controller box loose and playing around the trunk, Really?

The installs guys did a great job .but we live were it snows and need remote start but the range is not great we never know if the car is started or not from the basement floor .going to save up for better two way
