much needed in winter

Couldnt pass so got it installed and so far, buying this was my best decision.

There are 2 sets of remote: 1 - 2 way remote and 1 - 1 way remote. The install was done by Best Buy and the techs also recommended the security install. The combination of the 2 devices greatly enhances the security of the car

Get Ready To Scream!

So, I’ll only discuss the ones that don’t work. The installation kit sits this unit so far back in the dash that I can’t use the volume control very easily. It looks odd sitting so deeply back inside the dash of my Ford Ranger XLT. The alarm no longer works. I bought this to comply with hands free phone laws. However, I have to yell at the top of my lungs to be heard. So, pleasure conversations wait until I’m home. The only calls I can make, without loosing my voice, are only the most urgent ones.

I do not have to go out in the cold, snow, or rain to start the car. I can do it from in the house, and the other perk I love is that I can do everything from my phone. Thanks again.

only 1 fob is 2-way

I had this installed on my wife's Kia and have not used it first hand more than twice. I have remote start on my chevy, but it is not a 2-way fob. the 2-way is why I paid the extra bucks. I assume we could buy a 2nd 2-way fob if we wanted. (picked up up at a discount and while install was being included in discount price)

As a total tech member, I was able to buy this at a discounted price. They also have one that is app enabled, which my wife will get on her van. But so far, this has been a solid purchase, especially if you live in cold areas during the winter.
