Customers value the long battery life of the Metal Series High Performance Rechargeable Hair Trimmer Dry, citing its usefulness for travel and extended use between charges. They also appreciate the trimmer's sleek and stylish design. However, some customers express concerns about the quality of certain attachments, particularly the nose/ear hair trimmer and the shaving foil, noting that they may not provide the closest shave or be suitable for detailed line-ups. The overall trimming performance was also noted as needing improvement by some users.

Sleek packaging, nice looking product. Micro USB charging with blue indicator light. One piece trimming guard was just right for trimming up the beard once I got used to the angle. Operation is pretty quiet and it does a great job of cutting hair. Easy to clean up and so far I haven't had to recharge it. Nice product by Conair

The Conair MetalCraft all-in-one trimmer seemed to be an upgrade, right out of the box. It’s heft makes you feel as though you’re handling something that can take on any job.
First thing — the hedge out front. Not with this trimmer!…c’mon, man! This is for facial hair! But you knew that, right? After finishing the job out front and showering, it was time to try this thing out.
I have a goatee and it was getting a bit shaggy. I popped on the 5-position comb and found the desired depth, notch by notch. A bit tedious, but it works. Once I started in on the trimming, this trimmer was a breeze. No bogging down like previous trimmers I’ve had. Perfect and fast. Note: there is an arrow on the side of the trimmer so you can see which depth you’re at. It would be nice if this little arrow was on both sides of the trimmer, but it is what it is. Once my goatee was trimmed, it was easy to pop off the comb attachment and finish things off with the main metal blade. Never did it cut into my skin with the bare blades.
What I’ve just mentioned will be my main use for this trimmer — kind of a shaving prep. There are additional attachments which may come in handy in the future, especially the nose/ear trimmer. The 3 jawline combs, however, seem a bit cheap. It seems like they would at least benefit from a raised numbering system so one could easily choose the desired depth, instead of holding them up to the light in comparison. The shaving foil attachment may benefit someone who wants to travel light. I tried it and it’s not the closest shave in the world, but that’s not why I got this machine. Also, I thought it interesting that the owner’s manual referred to included lubricating oil to use in regular maintenance. There was no such oil in the contents. Not a deal breaker, but Conair may want to correct this in their literature. A small cleaning brush would be nice, as well.
All-in-all, a sturdy trimmer. The old one’s going to the nearest donation store. This one’s a keeper.

This Conair trimmer is beautiful to look at. It is very well made and is well weighted. The trimmer comes with a lot of attachments. I already have a high end nose trimmer and foil shaver so don't see myself using these attachments often. The trimmer itself does a outstanding job of trimming my beard and mustache. After the trimmer arrived I followed the directions and charged it. There is a blue light that tells you it is charging and when the charge is complete. The unit comes with a nice storage bag for the USB charger and trimmer. It would also hold all the attachments if needed. I have had several trimmers over the years and I can say this is the best I've ever had. I would highly recommend this trimmer.

This little trimmer is great!! I didn’t expect the power to be so strong being on a rechargeable battery but it is very impressive. I love the look and how sturdy they felt also. My husband charges it on the weekend and is able to use this to trim his beard with the guard on and then go without the guards and can shave the stubble off his neck almost completely for almost 2 weeks with daily use. I think they’re great for shaping his hairline up between haircuts also. It’s so easy just to pull them out vs having to get the full size clippers down from the cabinet. Powerful, great little set of trimmers for sure, highly recommend.

As someone who shaves both the hair on my head and on my face on a regular basis, I've been searching for my white whale for years - a trimmer that works equally as well on the soft hair of my head and the coarse hair of my face. Sadly...this is not that white whale.
This trimmer works great at sculpting - trimming the shorter hairs around my beard, trimming around my ears and neck, etc. It seems to struggle with trimming my beard hairs with the guard attachments, but I'm willing to chalk that up to how coarse my hairs are.
Where this falls flat for me is using it to shave the hair on my head. After only a half inch or so of shaving, the blades catch and it's pretty painful.
It's a useful tool for the things it does well - I just wish it did more things well than sculpting.

Feels Great and Performs Well

I’m upgrading from a plastic Philips trimmer and this feels great right out of the box. The weight is balanced and of high quality. It looks very nice when left out on the white countertops. Attachments pop on and off with a snap, though the foil shaver isn’t good for much more than a sideburn trim or beard sculpting. Get an actual shaver for anything else. A blue LED indicates the charge and power and a carrying case provides ample room for the attachments.

Great when used for beard trimming. Bunch of different lengths, you could even clean up a bad haircut or just getting too long avoiding the barber.
The nosehair and foil shaver attachment seem a bit cheap, but other than that, very good product!

Metalcraft High Performance All-In-One trimmer sounded like what I was looking for in a new trimmer. Cordless/rechargeable so I don't have to keep replacing batteries. Professional All-In-One hair trimmer with self-sharpening stainless steel, etched blades. High torque motor to cut through the bushy gray hair that won't leave my head. Has ear/nose trimmer, 3 jawline combs, shaving foil, stubble comb, 5 position adjustable comb, storage pouch and USB adapter. First challenge was getting the instructions out of the box. The trimmer and all the attachments are inside the box behind the clear panel but the instructions are hidden inside the carton and I ended up just ripping it open to get them out. Charge battery using the cord and USB adapter until the blue light stops flashing and is solid, about 3 hours for full charge. Oiling the blades instructions don't apply since included oil not found in box. Blades snap out by pushing away from trimmer and snap in by inserting and pushing down. Tried the shaving foil first.
Using up and down strokes on my "mask beard" it didn't really do much to trim the hair hidden by my mask. Switched out the head back to the etched trimming blade and tried the stubble comb with a little more success but finally just buzzed it all away with the blade and no attachment. Tried 5 position adjustable comb on my 3 week growth of hair at various settings but you really have to force it on and may not get the notch you are trying for. Really didn't do much except give me a patchy cut so I gave up and just used the etched trimming blade to buzz it all away and down to a nice stubble on my scalp.
Last I tried the nose and ear trimmer attachment which comes apart (for cleaning?) Insert the white plastic tube with the blade in the end into the rounded ear/nose hair trimmer then insert into trimmer after aligning the post to the shape in the white plastic. Harder than it looks. This trimmer actually works well once you determine how to safely insert into openings. All in all I'm a bit underwhelmed by all the features that don't do much but using the etched trimming blade after I buzz away my gray with my other clippers gets it down to a nice stubble and the ear/nose trimmer does a nice, even job. Not sure how to clean the hair out of the blades since there is no brush included even though it instructs you to brush away. Just noticed instruction 5 hidden at top of English instructions on foldout "Use trimmer for facial hair only". Maybe they could put that on the box?

As an older guy with facial hair and more, I have had my share razors, trimmers and gadgets to cut hair. Now I have the latest MetalCraft trimmer from ConairMan. While there are many additional attachments for this trimmer. I would say for daily use, you will only find the trimmer and the guards useful. The trimmer worked well for my beard and the guards (fixed and adjustable gauge) are adequate for the style beard I want for my face (short through the sides tapering to a couple inches at the chin). It seems to be sharp and makes quick work of shaping my beard, moustache and eyebrows. So, if you need a decent trimmer with a lithium ion charge. This trimmer probably fits your budget and should give you several sessions of trimming per charge. Just Don't Get It Wet! I looked through the instructions and it seems this is not waterproof. Please correct me if I am wrong. The heads are removable, but I guess the base is not sealed for water immersion.
The extra attachments you get with this trimmer are mostly low grade plastic. Not a problem for the guards, but It falls short as an all-in-one tool. The trimmer head is pretty good for facial hair, but slows a bit for coarser body hair. The shave foil and nose trimmer attachments or very low quality. The foil required too many passes and left stubble at best. The nose trimmer did almost nothing and repeated circles as mentioned in the instructions didn't help cut anything. And while there is a thin drawstring bag to contain all that this set includes. The set did not include trimmer oil as mentioned in the instructions. I will also mention the USB power cord and USB wall plug are included(2 separate items). UNFORTUNATELY, the trimmer is micro USB. Its 2021 and all new products should be USB-C at this point.
Summary. Pretty good lithium ion rechargeable trimmer with a mostly metal housing. Does a decent job on facial hair, but includes many attachments you will want. Yet, will mostly find useless for your face. Still charges via micro USB, but charge cable and wall charger are included. Time will tell how well this holds up. As a facial trimmer only. Odds might be in your favor.

Could be better

I have lots of pros and cons about this trimmer. The first thing I noticed when using it is how powerful it is, never got bogged down while trimming like my previous trimmer did which is very nice. It’s also very compact and feels good in the hand. Built in rechargeable battery is a must. It has an assortment of attachments for shaving, edging, trimming, and even nose hair.
The issue with being a jack of all trades in this case is it’s a master of none. The shaver attachment is very poor, the various edging attachments are hard to understand, and the trimmer attachment is just okay. The way it’s designed also causes all your trimmings to get ejected everywhere and it makes a MESS. Plan on spending as much time cleaning up your sink after trimming as actually trimming, as it gets everywhere. Again this is compared with what I was using before that kept everything contained better. Another disappointing fact is it is not water resistant in any way so cleaning it is much more of a chore.
Overall, I like that it has enough power to trim my beard without any drama but just about everything else about it is mediocre.

The unit is very sleek and has a nice feel to it. After using the trimmer that was included with the hair cut kit I previously used, this is a huge step up. You can tell this has a lot of power.
I mainly use it to trim my side burns, so I can't comment on all the attachments that it includes. I did try the nose hair trimmer, but I felt that it wasn't as good as the standalone one I already have.
It uses a USB charging cable, so it is nice that you don't worry about needing a proprietary charger if you loose the bundled one. Although I wish it was usb-c.

I've had similar results with cheaper products. None of the attachments are added for fluff. These are exactly what you need in a base kit. It would be nice if it came with a case at this price. But it gets the job done and the built quality is decent.

I had the chance to test this product alongside another from the same collection and I experienced very similar results. It just so happened my previous stubble trimmer broke beyond repair the week before so the timing was perfect. On the plus side, this device comes with a lot of attachments - more so than any other trimmer I’ve ever bought. It’s a Jack of all trades, but unfortunately a master at none. Using the lowest guard that comes with it (stubble) i felt like I was on an endless journey to trim my facial hair. Both accuracy and cut length were questionable compared to my old device, which resulted in a lot of multiple passes over the same area and much more time to complete. It is a good product for what you pay, but it would be fair to say there are better ones out there if you are willing to spend a bit more.

Both my son and husband gave this a try.
My son said it shaped and defined his facial hair nicely. He was trying all of the attachments and liked the jawline combs the best. He also said he really liked the nose/ear trimmer.
My husband used the shaving foil and said it did a nice job without pulling.
They both looked good after using it. Easy to clean the attachments too.

Trimmer works great and the swappable head are easy to change out. Clean cuts, no snags or hang ups. Good selection of guards and even one to maintain stubble. My only gripe is the micro usb charging port, usb-c would be favorable but at least it's not proprietary.
