Wow! We learned a lot about what really happens to football players when they make head-to-head contact during a game. Very interesting and informative story line that helps you better understand the difference between the sport and the business of the sport. We LOVE football, but we also cherish quality of life. By the end of the movie, we were satisfied on both accounts.

This film was absolutely GREAT and very factual. Glad to see that it was made which helps to display the problem of head-to-head contact in sports today. We all knew about the damage that boxing can render but, until now, who would've have considered this for football with all the protective gear worn today. Will Smith, as usual, was outstanding and portrayed his character very well.

Sometimes the truth is inconvenient but makes a great story. Will Smith gives a great performance in a film inspired by a true story. Smith plays Dr. Bennet Omalu, who discovered brain degeneration by professional football players. This film chronicles his fight against the NFL who for years tried to suppress his research. Missed this one in theaters so I made sure to preorder!

Excellent! The love story in the midst of the movie was a nice touch. The irony of the across the board denial of the effects of the concussions and the risk of the character funding his own research and then having the government threaten him because of it. The irony of wanted to be a US citizen and turning it down when it was not offered on his terms spoke volumes.

I agree with the principles of this film. Unfortunately, the NFL wants to sweep these facts under the rug! Too many great football players have lost their lives because of concussions and I say that as an avid football fan. I really like films based on true stories. Will Smith was excellent. I recommend this movie to open-minded individuals who care about the sport.

This movie reminds football fans and non-fans that the game is potentially very dangerous in its potential for devastating head injuries to players. In a real life drama, the movie tells the story of the doctor who proved that the concussions caused by repeated impact to the brain is hazardous to the health of players and reminds us that this game subjects atheletes to possible significant devastating head injury. Well made; well- acted.

If you love true stories this thia great movie for a joint family night. Will Smith does an excellent job of portraying the real man. The story is riveting and brings light upon the issues in professional sports, not only in football but other contact sports. I bought this movie for my elderly mother and she has added to her collection of true stories.

Concussion was probably one of the best movie I've seen in quite some time. I now understand the uproar surrounding Will Smith's performance and being ignored by the Oscar nominating committee. This was one of the best performances of his career. With ZERO consideration from the Oscars, all I can say is Will Smith was robbed! GREAT MOVIE!!!

Will Smith is superb in his portrayal of the Pittsburgh Pathologist who discover the unusual brain trauma associated with major league football players whose personal and professional lives are shattered for unknown cause. What makes this movie exceptional is that you're able to view the movie extras and meet the real pathologist who's hard work and uncompromising ethics forced the NFL to own up to its responsibilities.

The movie does stick very close to the real life story of that amazing Neurologist. Will Smith delivered a realistic character. Good movie worth to buy, watch and keep. As matter of fact, the late WWE former champion, "Chyna" brain is in the process to be donated toward science for further studies on concussion injuries, guess whom is doing the study? Good guess the real life Doctor whom this movie is dedicated.

The acting is fabulous here. The story center around a doctor who discovers the link between the violent game of pro football and brain disease. Of course, the NFL is not happy about this discovery, and they do everything possible to discredit the data. Will Smith plays a courageous doctor who doggedly pursues the truth.

Wow. This movie should had been considered for more academy awards! The NFL and football establishment needs to change tackling techniques. Let's hope more change will occur. The doctor who discovered the issues of concussions had no agenda or ax to grind. A great movie to watch and understand what is happening!

Having watched this story on Frontline, I was interested in how close this storyline would follow that. It was done very well, with information that is documented and easily verifiable. Will Smith did an admirable job of his portrayal of the doctor that was responsible for this issue being made public.

I never knew about all the retired Pittsburgh Steelers who died from concussions. This movie tells us about this brilliant doctor who uncovered the reason why they died and how the NFL wanted to cover this up. I was a little disappointed by the ending...why didn’t they say that they changed the rules about helmet to helmet contact, etc.??

As a football official I was interested in watching this movie. It was an eye opener on how the NFL kept this quiet for so long. I watched this movie after my daughter who also suffers from TBI was at a rehab clinic that had several former NFL players that were going through treatment. A good watch.

Concussions: Absolutely great informational movie. Everyone should watch to get a basic idea of the damage done to one’s head due to a concussion. This may help one to understand the stories in the current news, especially in relationship to football and other sport head injuries.

Wonderful story about a wonderful man. The acting was terrific--LOVE Will Smith in just about everything he does. Nothing bad in the movie that would bother the family that I can recall. Highly recommend because it is an intelligently produced film, and is informative as well as entertaining.
