This movie follows along the same lines as 7 pounds and Pursuit of Happyness. The doctor finds a correlation between several deaths of football players and was able to give the families peace. Give this movie a chance it’s another great one from Will Smith.

Overall the movie was really good. Being a football fan and with all the news about CTE this film gave a good look into the problems with this awful disease thats pleaging football. I still love the game and would have given anything to have played proffesionally, but I now have even more respect for those who sacrificed for the game that they love.

Will Smith turns in one of his best acting performances in years, as a forensic neuropathologist investigating possible widespread brain damage in professional football. Even if you're not a football fan, the overriding storyline should be more than sufficient to pique your interest.

This movie spotlights the very necessary discussion of how suspected concussions are treated in the same manner as cigarette regulation in the early 1960s as an unnecessary approach to regulating an enjoyable experience for millions of people. The movie was well written and acted without a lot of over dramatic touches. It's worth seeing and buying.

Thoroughly engrossing film. While some facts and portrayals of individuals may have been exaggerated for entertainment sake, the movie does document what has been known for some time - that the NFL hid the dangers of concussions from its players. Will Smith had had some memorable performances, but to me, this is his best work yet.

This movie is based on a true story and I loved it. Will Smith and Gugu Mbatha-Raw did an awesome job. This motion picture will teach and open your mind about life. Football is a wonderful sport but life is so much bigger than a game. I definitely recommend seeing it.

This is a great drama about an important issue we have to deal with, especially with High School Sports. If you like "based on a true story" movies you will want to buy this. If you have a kid in sports, find a place to rent it, you should watch it at least once.

One of the rare movies that I went to the movies to see twice. This is such a powerful film that it really is a shame that the academy failed to recognize Will Smith for his fine acting. Politics aside, I really enjoy this DVD and the price was just right. Thanks Best Buy!

It was not surprising to hear about all of the damage and problems resulting from running into each other practice after practice, game after game. Will Smith did a great job playing the doctor. One of his best roles.

One of Will Smith's best. I really didn't know anything about this story before I watched it. All I knew was it was about a doctor talking about concussions. This should be something all athletes should watch, young and old. I can't believe how ignorant my coaches were about the seriousness of being knocked out. Very educational.

There are very few movies Will Smith makes that aren't good. And he does an EXCELLENT job of being the character in this one. What with the accent and makeup, you have to look very close to tell it is Will Smith. A great 'documentary' from the present day.

Good movie. Shows you how a mega billion dollar franchise can ignore, or deny,the truth in regards to medical issues that arise out of the sport. When confronted, which is more profitable; the soul, body and mind of a person,a player;or the revenue of a business.

This was an excellent movie - dealing with an issue that needs to be discussed and better understood. Had some difficulty with the way some of these warriors were portrayed - but overall - a really good movie - especially if you love football or a former player!!

A pretty dramatic and eye-opening expose of the effects of repeated, ongoing concussive injuries to our brains. I learned about chronic traumatic encephalopathy and what happens to the brain when subjected to repeated jarring impacts over long periods of time.

Wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the movie when we thought of buying the movie, but I couldn't even hit pause not one time once we started watching. I had no idea how one man made such an impact on professional sports and that is important on not just our pro players but our youth as well. This is a must watch movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. Never knew it would have started or ended the way it did. Awesome awesome movie. More movies should be this enjoyable. I was really hoping and seeking for it to be a little longer that what is was. However i enjoyed this movie.

I always know I'm gonna like a movie if it's based on a true story. I didn't know the history behind this. Will Smith did an awesome job of being a humble doctor with uncompromisable integrity. The movie was intense and tasteful. It was hard to see the truth. I definitely look at football differently now.

Will Smith gives an excellent performance about a tragic tale of some of the NFL's greats, suffering from concussion trama. A very thought provoking story of the resistance from the NFL and persistance of one doctor to help protect football players.

Concussion is a very good movie showing and bringing light to a very delicate subject. It Shows the real danger of playing football and all parents need to be conscious and aware of these dangers and make sure that they do everything that they can to protect their children and monitor them as they compete.

This was a great movie. I was incredibly impressed with the story and the actors, especially Will Smith. It is clearly one of, if not IS his best work to date. If you love football, truthful stories and great acting, then this movie is for you!
