Doesn't keep water cold long

I put ice in the container and then fill it with water but it only keeps the water cold for a short period of time. I have other water bottles that do keep water cold over a long period of time but these are bigger and I was looking for something a little more compact in size like this one. It does have a very nice pop open top to drink from and the top does come off so that you can put ice into the container.

Especially when I am walking outdoors. It is easy to take along container and it is sharp looking.I Enjoy using it and am thinking about buying some as gifts for friends who run in races.
