I bought GE Profile 7036 stainless cooktop and had installed. I originally began purchase as Lowe's who came out for preinstall visit. They totally dropped the ball; they wouldn't communicate with me and when I tried to call no one answered in the department or I got cut off. I had to drive back to store to cancel the purchase and then went to Best Buy. They were wonderful both in the store and sending me texts, phone calls and emails to keep me in the loop! The guys who came for the preinstall visit forgot to check my gas line size so the install team had to alter the connection. Because the preinstall guy missed noticing I was not charged. Highly recommend!! :)

We replaced a 30" Whirlpool cooktop with this 30" GE model. Best Buy had a professional come to analyze if the new item could be easily accommodated in the space and if the current gas supply was safe and legal. The answer was Yes! I could never had done the measuring and installation without their help. Installation is a separate necessary charge as we live in a condo building and work must be done to specific government guidelines. The installers made a quick change to the countertop and used all new lines. It was worth the charge to have this done right.

The installers ran into issues that is best left to the professionals especially when dealing with gas lines. The location of the connections were different on the old and new cook top. The connections for the old cook top were based upon housing codes that were in effect at the time that my home was built. The connections on the new cook tops are based upon current housing codes which created some issues that could have resulted in relocating the gas line and cutting into my cabinets. I highly recommend letting professionals handle these matters. I absolutely love my cook top and I have peace of mind that me and my family are safe when in use.

Installation was professional, quick, and thoroughly done. The two installers set up quickly, worked respectfully and we’ll coordinate Daly with each other as a team. They wrapped up and took all materials—and the old cooktop with them. Upon request, they stayed to check that each burner was indeed working. All done in less than a half hour. They arrived on time, I offered them masks which they donned eothout question, and they did a thorough job. Could not ask for more,

I was charged $80 during installation for an 'inspection' of the gas connection, on top of the Best Buy installation fee. Service guy said someone would come to inspect but no one ever did or called about it. I feel like I was scammed out of an extra $80. This was installed in a granite counter top where the cut out was VERY close to the stove top. I saw this and edges were covered but the top later shifted when I leaned my hand on the granite edge. My daughter was able to get into the lower cabinet to push up on the stove top to get it back over the granite cut out edge. I sealed it with clear silicone and it hasn't moved since. I have to say Best Buy installers are far superior to Home Depot.

Omar and Mario were prompt, efficient, neat and performed a very professional installation. When we purchased the cooktop, we had anticipated that the opening in our granite countertop would likely need to be enlarged. As it turned out, this was not necessary, simplifying the installation. A new gas line and valve were installed, which is always a prudent thing to do when replacing an older cooktop. The quality of the installation is great, and was a much better appliance installation experience than the ones we have had with a major local appliance specialty store.

We have really struggled with our delivery and installation of all of the appliances that we purchased - in excess of $8000. While I feel that Best Buy is doing a great job handling the COVID challenges, the local store handling of the service appointments has made things more difficult. It took 3 attempts to get someone here to complete the job Jared has been excellent ! He is very professional and knowledgeable and also takes the time to talk you through questions. I love my new kitchen, and Jared has made it worth the 10 weeks wait. Highly commended and recommended

Shout out to Jordan, Nick & Jason of Precision Appliance Installation. Jordan is a pro and knows what he is doing. Nick & Jason are great helpers and made sure I got all my paperwork and cleaned my product after install. Called me ahead of their arrival, punctual, polite, answered all of my lame questions :-) and cleaned up. Great work guys. Really appreciate your service.

We were kept informed and reminded about the appointment. The window was 4 hours, but they called about half hour to tell us they were on their way, which was much appreciated. They came on time and quickly/efficiently removed the old cooktop and installed the new one. We opted for the optional haul-away of the old cooktop and they took all the packaging, too. Left kitchen tidy. We were surprised that 2 trucks showed up...one with the installers and the other one with the haulers. This was the first time we purchased an appliance from BB and used their installation and haul away service. Would use their services again.

This was probably the best installation experience I've ever had. The installer called the night before to let me know when I could expect him, with an hour window. In the morning, he called to let me know he was on his way. He maneuvered the dolly with my cooktop through a fairly tight entry way like threading a needle, just perfect. I watched in amazement as he so carefully prepared the cooktop to go in. He measured everything after initially placing the cooktop to ensure it's absolutely perfect positioning. Tested it and showed me quickly the basics. If it's possible to name request an installer, you can bet I'm going to ask for this gentleman in the future.

We experienced Covid 19 delays and product changes due to miscommunication regarding measurements, but each experience with Best Buy associates was clear, helpful and respectful. The installation processes for five different kitchen appliances (three different installation teams) were all very positive. Each time, we received several communications regarding appointment times and procedures, the crews were polite, efficient, respectful and professional. Thank You Guys, and we look forward to many years of enjoying our "new" kitchen.

No problems with the installation. The crew was friendly and respectful of our home. Followed proper COVID protocol. One minus us the additional installation charge of several hundred dollars that we were not informed of in advance.

The installers were professional and courteous. They made sure the new stove fit well in the place of the old one. They were able to adjust for the different sizes of the stove. After testing the new stove they cleaned up all of the old packaging, moved the old stove out for later pickup. While this may have been a project I could have done myself, this was well worth the cost to have it done. Best Buy installation will be the way I go in the future.

Removed the old cooktop and installed the new one in about 15 minutes. Supposed to haul away old cooktop but missed the grates and could have done a better job of cleaning up after the installation.

Alfredo and David were very professional installers. They had us inspect the Kitchen Aid Cooktop before they brought it into the house. We really appreciated that. They then brought in covering to protect our hardwood floors and were very careful not to damage anything in our home. They were very nice and great communicators. They tested the cooktop and showed us how to use it before departing. You're in good hands if Alfredo and David are the installers for your project.

Installation technician had to cut some wood to make room to perfectly fit the cooktop. He took every safety measure so the usage experience with gas and fire is safe and good!

My Dad's cooktop started to leak gas because the gas line rusted over, so he needed a replacement. The installer refused to install it the first time because do to where the cooktop was located he didn't have the right parts. This was good because he didn't force a bad situation. He came back at a reasonable time and did an excellent job installing the cooktop.

The installation of my cooktop was good, but the cooktop has a manufacturer malfunction so doesn't work. Had nothing to do with the installation. It is being exchanged for another cooktop which is on "backorder".

I am disappointed with the flimsy burners, they move out of place because they are so light. But I do like the heat that emits from them. I also like the hinged grates for easier cleaning

Howard, the salesman we worked with at Best Buy really went out of his way in giving us pros and cons about the cooktops on display at the Orland Park IL location. My wife was impressed by his knowledge and how he explained the unique benefits of all of the cooktops. She happily chose the Viking because of its ability to satisfy her needs!
