was not very happy 1st. installation had a gas leak and had to call gas co. and shut stove up. had to have a new stove and it took for ever to get it and set up installation.

These guys did a great job and worked with me to get the installation done on my tight schedule. We had new construction and the store had limited crews due to Covid but they still made it all work out for us. Great installation and knowledgeable crew. Thanks!

Installer was great. He had to make extra trips because of problems fitting the cooktop into the counter. He was always pleasant and gave us information to help us get the right size cooktop and make adjustments that allowed it to be installed.

Very fast installation. Had to make a cut to the corian countertop with extra charge we were told in advance by Best Buy install inspector who came to my home prior to purchasing (free service). The unit looks very professionally installed. We’re very happy with the installation and would highly recommend using Pro Masters.

We are very pleased with our cooktop installation. We purchased our cooktop directly from the manufacture in order to receive it in a timely manner. Best Buy scheduled our installation within a few days of contacting them. The service was quick and professional. We love our new cooktop!!!

Cooktop installation guy came early in the morning and remeasured the granite stove base to make sure it will fit. Installation took an hour to complete. Though it looks easy but it needs special v-shape connector to connect the blower/adapter to the existing outlet. He had done all of the thinking and finished installation with no issue. Cleaned up and hauled away the old cooktop. Very polite guy.

we did not see any technicians during the first appointment. The second time, the guys showed up around 8 pm and they got it done before 10. Th guys are good.

Delivery and installation were great. I got a reminder call the day before, and on day of delivery, was called and kept up to date on delivery time. They arrived when they said they would, installed the cooktop professionally and took pictures to document what they did. Cleaned up perfectly, and off they went.

I feel being charged an extra $200 by the installers to shave 1/4 inch (or less) off my counter to make my cooktop fit was excessive. It took less than 10 minutes. They were going to shave my cupboard down for free to install the double oven (ended up not needing to). Why so much extra to make the cooktop fit?
Over all I am satisfied with the installation but I hate feeling taken.

This was a second installation visit, to fix the first one. I didn't review the first... so think of this as an average of 0 stars for the screwed up first installation, and 4 stars for the pretty good second visit.
We had a gas cook-top installed. It isn't hard, and if I'd been in town I would have done it myself. When it was done, my wife told the guys that she thought she smelled gas. The installers said that was normal, it was just the residual gas after seating the hose and filling the line. It wasn't a particularly strong odor, so she accepted the explanation. A few hours later she opened the cabinet door to put pots and pans away and the odor was back, a bit stronger. Long story short, indeed there was a small leak and the second "installation" (which is the one I'm reviewing) was to fix the first.
The second installer was very polite, quickly acknowledged the problem, and installed a new hose. I give it 4 stars because it took 10 days to get the second visit scheduled. Sorry, when you screw up attempt one, you need to figure out how to prioritize the fix!

Installation of the cooktop was quick and complete. The installers were very friendly. They went above and beyond when a missing plate was discovered over the junction box. The installers found a plate that would work and finished the install. The only issue was the arrival time. They showed up 4 hours early.

Product was installed okay. However, the 3rd party delivery crew which installs products all day for Best Buy failed to inform me about getting serial number off the product before they installed the cooktop. Normally this kind of information is easily accessible on typical products, but maybe not on cooktops. In any case, the Samsung 30" gas cooktop has the serial number on the back right side of the product, and once the product is installed then this information is impossible to retrieve. The serial number is required for Samsung warranty purposes. I was required to contact a different appliance installer, so that he would come out to uninstall the product so that I could take a picture of the serial number, and then he reinstalled the product again. This cost me out of pocket, but I reported it to Best Buy and they managed to get the cost reimbursed to me as a credit on my credit card. Thanks for this Best Buy, but please consider using a more conscientious delivery installation company. The second appliance guy (which Best Buy sales rep referred to me) was more conscientious, because when he removed my oven to get at the connections for the cooktop, he noticed that the electrical connection from behind the oven to the wall was a bit unsafe. There wasn't a wall plate around where wires go through, and the wires themselves weren't safely wrapped together. The 3rd party crew from Best Buy never mentioned anything about this to me, and they also removed the oven to get at the connections of the cooktop. Interesting!

Good and no issue cooktop installation. The existing opening was not large enough and cuts needed to be made to make the opening wider. The installer explained the need and provided the cost to address the issue which is reasonable. The work was performed and the installation was done professionally.

I am happy that Best Buy has access to
Competent installers as they have messed up all other things.
Out of a $7500 purchase in June this is the only piece that wasn’t lost by Best Buy

The installation went without a hitch. We had the area cleared beside and below where it was to be installed. The installers assembled the cooktop outside, brought it in, and proceeded to install it and connect to the gas line. Once the old cooktop was removed, they tested every burner and cleaned to remove any fingerprints. We were pleased with the ease and speed of installation.

Unprofessional subcontractors who DID NOT SHOW UP

If zero stars were possible, that is what we would give, since the installers just DID NOT SHOW UP! We received messages the previous days leading up to the scheduled delivery date, prepared our home for the delivery: cleared the path, laid paper down to protect the floors, emptied, cleaned, and did not use the appliances, etc. Time was taken off of work, and I waited EIGHT HOURS for no one to show up. I called Best Buy TWICE, and was assured that they would still come. The second call, I even asked if they could contact the installer directly, since it was near the end of the 8-hr window. I was put on hold for a while, and they eventually came back and said yes, they are on their way, even if it is after the 8-hr window. So I waited, and eventually gave up hope that anyone would show up, since it was nearly 10 pm. I started a chat through Best Buy website twice, and was disconnected the first time, after painstakingly typing my problem, and on the second chat, was told there was nothing he could do since that department was closed now. I had no idea where any of my appliances were at this point, when they would arrive, or who to contact.
The next day, I called Best Buy again (my seventh contact at this point to try to solve this delivery disaster), and a helpful person told me the subcontractor XPO Logistics are handling the delivery and installation, and that they had picked up my appliances and were in possesion of them. So I called XPO, and they had no idea what happened, and said they will call me back when they find out. I finally receive a call back, and they rescheduled for the following week, also stating my appliances were never picked up from Best Buy. Meanwhile, my home and kitchen are in a disasterous limbo waiting for this delivery from the same company that I did not trust would come, since there was no transparency or accountability. And I had at that point, spent hours of my own time trying to fix this problem, with Best Buy not even reaching out to me to notify me that the delivery didn't happen and to reschedule. Why is it the customer's responsibility to fix this Best Buy problem?
The following day, I decide to visit my local Best Buy store hoping a real person would be able to help me face-to-face. They were able to find my appliances in the back, and rather than cross my fingers and hope XPO followed through with my order next week, I decided to just take my appliances home that day, with the help of the store managers. This way, at least I had my appliances, and they were not lost or mishandled while hoping XPO would show up. Since we are TotalTech members, installation and haul away were included. So we still wanted to make the most of this membership, and scheduled with the managers for them to be professionally installed. But my faith in their follow-through was shattered at that point, and we decided to install the appliances ourselves, rather than wait another week, with our home in shambles, for them to probably not show up again.
The store managers were helpful, and one telephone customer service person was helpful. But all other avenues were like spinning hopeless wheels, and it was a very unprofessional experience overall. Dreadfully, XPO is still slated to install our wall oven that we are still waiting on, and I feel powerless with the inability to choose a reliable installer since we don’t want to waste this TotalTech membership. Please improve the quality of your subcontractors, or employ your own installers so that customers are not left holding the bag and feeling ripped off and disatisfied with the unprofessional treatment of third parties. And there needs to be accountability. It seemed like there were no repercussions for this big mistake, and that Best Buy is content with continuing business with unprofessional subcontractors, putting their customers at the whim of careless people.

Defective Cooktop Stove.

I rated my review as 3 stars & 5 stars. Material used for the stove is pretty solid. The design is well planned for 5 stoves with enough spacing for 3 or more pans. The only negative comments I have is that one of the burner will not light a fire when you flip the knob to on position. I have to use a lighter to turn on the flame or else you smell the unburn gas in your stove area.
