Used this to cool a overheating 7850k FM2+ Processor under the stock heatsink. It works for almost every modern Intel or AMD mainstream processor, as both AMD and intel haven't updated their mounting holes recently. It also comes with decent thermal paste, just remember to remove the old thermal paste from your old processor with a rubbing alcohol coffee filter and you're good to go.

Overall, it's a really nice cooler and it reduced my CPU temps under load a solid 12-15C over the stock Intel cooler. You can add a second fan (brackets included, btw) to possibly make it cool even better. The fan isn't audible unless it's at full speed and even then it's not obnoxious. The only thing I didn't care for was the standard push/twist motherboard mounts for LGA1155. I'd have preferred something with a backplate.

Much better cooling tan I expected at this level, my stick cooler was really disappointing and this was going to be a temporary cheap fix.
The retention lever for AMD sockets is flimsy and comes in separate pieces. It was a bit of a struggle to install but is actually firmly in place when done.
I'm likely to continue using this for as long as I keep this system up.

This was definitely an upgrade from my stock intel cpu cooler. I run coretemp to monitor my temperatures. After swapping coolers this one has pretty much the same idle temps. Maybe 1 degree cooler at 36 C. Where I noticed the difference is the temperature with a load on it. It's every bit of 5-10 degrees cooler with maxing out at 45 C. That's also while OCing my 2.6ghz cpu to 3.2ghz. There are better coolers out there but for the price I'm very happy!

Good quality the only problem I have is too big probably you need to see size of product before you buy this fan. However, I dont have any problem.

I had an old AMD processor fan that died on me and I was looking for a good solution to get me through a few more years. This fan was easy to install and offers excellent cooling with the vertical design. Check out this video to see the fan installation how-to - http://youtu.be/ob4CpdTApuY

After upgrading my CPU, the original fan was working very hard and was extremely loud. This cooler is silent and improved the CPU temperature by almost 30 percent. Installation on an AMD processor took about 5 minutes even with my fumbling with the bracket. Note that if your original fan is stuck to the CPU, you can loosen the thermal compound by running the computer for a few minutes just prior to changing the cooler. This will heat the compound and allow for easy removal. For less than $20 this cooler is outstanding!

I am doing a modest overclock with this fan... it's cool in that you can add another similar sized fan to the other side... which I did...temps are always reasonable.. even with stress testing with linpack.. prime95..etc...only small pain was that one of the mounting screws wouldn't quite go into the hole correctly, but it didn't keep the heatsink from getting good contact.. so not really an issue I guess

Great cooling if you have the space in your case

I would suggest making sure you can get to all the locking pins before trying to install this cooler. If it's gonna be a tight fit, remove what you can and get the hardest one to get to in first.

I'm not overclocking the processor, but it fit, was easy to install, and does a great job for what I'm using it for! It's also silent!
