I have really enjoyed this laptop stand. I got it because I was needing to do heavy movie editing and creation and the bottom of my laptop would get extremely hot and if I were using the laptop on my lap while wearing shorts and a portion of the laptop came in contact with skin, I'd receive a first degree burn. Since getting this stand, the base of my laptop has been completely cool to the touch as if the laptop weren't even on. I love how you can place the fans where you need them to be where the hottest point on the laptop base are located. I also like how I can control the fan speed. I can set it to its lowest setting during normal usage and its fastest setting when doing intense graphic or movie editing/creation. My only issue, and it could just be my laptop is that it will sometime slide down a little when I have it on the stand. But that is very minor.

First off remember all products have about 20% bad reviews, the key is to look for common problems, and even then you must realize many of the people that had no problem didn't bother to write a positive review... I was almost one of them until bestbuy.com sent an email offering 25 reward points for my review! lol With that said, this cooler is great because unlike what some may have experienced the 3 fans keep a typical laptop cool. I have an hp g60 duo core intel T-6500 2.1Ghz, it never really got too hot, but now it stays very cool not even warm at all. The main thing I like is that each fan has a push button that lets you lock into one of the many holes in the waffle design of the main deck so you can move each fan to a different location depending on your needs. It's so easy a 6 year old could set this up. All 3 fans are on the same wire harness that connects to one of your usb ports... The other great feature of this is that if one fan breaks you still have 2 more! Unfortunately i see no way to just change out one fan though, but you could probably run on 2 fans just as well. The fans do not blow that hard, but all 3 combined do the trick. Also, I think many of these types of coolers are not really designed to be put on your lap and for me that's not an issue because i use my laptop like a desktop, but for others you might want to look at different designs. I actually tried it on my lap and it wasn't that bad. Finally, people were crying about the adjustable control as well as the laptop sliding off... I have had no problems! With the adjuster, i keep the fans turned all the way down to preserve their life and it still keeps the machine cool! Again if you really use this on your lap then the controller can start to move as well as the laptop sliding, but most coolers will create problems when you use them on your lap! So don't get to psyhed out by the people that overreact to small negatives and remember even the doa and early failures are still a small percent when compared to the number of people having success... I had a Belkin with one fan and i will never go back! PS I keep the 2 styrofoam packing blocks under the front to raise it up so my headphone jack can have more clearance, the front does sit low but if you are on a desk or stand its nothing to just put something under the front to keep her up for easy front jack access! Over all this is worth the money it does exactly whats needed to keep my laptop cool. Its lite to carry, holds my laptop at a good angle for typing and having 3 fans works best for my set up. This is the 2nd cooler master i've bought, the first one has 2 fans and works for the laptop i bought it for while this new verson works best for my other laptop. I would recommend this one to anyone who wants to keep their laptop cool and last longer.

We bought our son the gaming laptop he'd wanted all year, for Christmas. Of course, we bought a laptop cooling pad too, but his computer fans were still running loudly when he got into games that were graphics heavy and the surface of his laptop got quite warm. We tried a couple of other pads, but with the same results. Then his friend let him use his Cool Master Notepad U3 and his laptop fans fell silent, even during his heaviest game play. Needless to say, we got him one the next day, and things have been great for over 2 months now, without a problem. The Notepad U3 is too large to fit in his laptop bag, so he had to carry it in another bag when he went to friends homes to play, so we also got him the Notepad U2, which just squeezed in and seems to do a pretty good job too. Couldn't recommend the Cool Master fans any higher!

I really love this cooling fan!!! It keeps my pc nice and cool. Being able to put the cooling fans where my pc needs it has kept it completely cool. My pc NEVER overheats or gets hot and it hasn't shut down once. This thing is great... I just wish they would have added something that keeps it from sliding when you are using it. I just put something at the bottom to keep it from sliding and it works perfect now. Don't be afraid to buy it, you WON'T BE SORRY...

The fans easily attach to the tilted base, which provides great non-slip support for your laptop up to 19" in size. You can move the fans around at will to find the optimum cooling zones. USB connection works great with the USB adaptor/plug combination.

I have really enjoyed this cooler. Works better than any other I have tried and I have bought quite a few. I love being able to put the fans right where my laptop needs them most. Has really improved the coolness of my computer while playing online games.

I love this triple powered fan. It keeps my Toshiba Satelite Laptop cool at any time. It can be used at any time and for as long as you want. It doesn't get stuck or doesn't even get dusty as much as other fans do. With three fans it can really help cool down a 17 inch laptop especially if the fan that came with your laptop is small and it's only one. With three it really makes a huge difference. Consider getting this fan today or order it online. It's really going to help cool your laptop even better during the summer. If there is a lot of heat in your area, this fan can help it cool down at a reasonable price. :)

I guess I didn't read the specs on the size of the cooler before I bought. Can't fit it in my bag to take it with me. Have to hand carry it. Seems to work great. Being able to put the fans where you want is a great feature. Fans are not too loud. No need for a variable speed pot. A simple on/off switch would be better. If they make a slightly smaller version I should have bought that otherwise it is fantastic for home use.

I have a HP 4720s Probook. I bought Cyberlink's Power Director 11 to edit and make a movie from video clips on a recent vacation. Problem was the program used so much CPU power that my laptop kept overheating and I could not finish burning a project to a DVD. After installing the Cool Master under my laptop, I've had no overheating issues. What I like about this device is that it has three (3) cooling fans which can be placed under the hot spot areas of my laptop, It is powered by a USB plug right into my laptop so no extra power supply is needed. If you have a large laptop that is overheating, try this cooling pad. It really works.

I do a lot of work on my laptop, sometimes keeping it on for 8-10 hours at a time. I was concerned about it overheating, not to mention that it got too hot to keep it comfortably on my lap for long. This product was exactly what I needed to keep the computer and myself cool while working. The adjustable-speed fans can be moved around to hit the hot zones for whatever laptop it's being used with. The size is just right for my rather large 17" HP, and I don't have any of the slipping/sliding problems other reviewers have mentioned.

I had a different brand cooling fan I used prior to this one and this is so much better.

Is a great cooler for the price. Like the angled positioning for the computer. Great keyboard access.

This is a great cooling stand. It's large enough to hold my larger sized laptop. I love that the fans are positionable and can be moved to address any hot spots. I find a lot of very fine white dust on the bottom of my laptop and on the surface of the cooling pad, which is slightly disturbing. But the laptop works just fine and never shuts off due to overheating. I would definitely buy this again---and I'm glad that I purchased the three fan one versus the two fan pad.

This works great. It nice to be able to move the fans to the hot spots under the laptop for best cooling. This is super quiet. I had to check and make sure the fans were running to tell, even on the high setting. I would recommend this to anybody needing a cooling plate. The usb passthrough allows for a device to still be plugged in so you don't lose the port.

This cooling stand was well designed. First, it came with 3 fans. They can be placed anywhere, so it can be placed right under the laptop's fan or where ever you prefer. Second, the speed of the fans can be controlled. Its not just a one speed fan. Lastly, the usb connection was awesome. Whoever designed this stand was also thinking of the limited usb connection on a laptop because you can still use or plug another device (i.e. Mouse) on the same connection.

Ever since i bought this product, my M17xR3 laptop has never suffered from throttling again. The configurable fans are perfect to get the cooling where you want it, and the overall construction of this cooling stand is solid and secure. 100% satisfied with this purchase!

After a month of researching laptop coolers i finally decided on the Cooler Master NotePal U3 Laptop Cooling Stand . I mainly use my laptop for DJ'n and before i got this cooler my computer ran at an average of 80°C peaking out at 89°C (way more then I would want my pc to run at) while DJ'n. Today running the same DJ programs as before using this cooler my average temp was 65°C and peaked to 69°C. Awesome product at a great price would recommend to anyone. Only wish Bestbuy would stock it at the stores.
