I bought this product for a road trip to Florida, and it started off great. I loved the digital screen and the scan button. But after only a few hours the screen would only show lines unless you tapped it some. It would eventually go back to normal, but I returned it because I felt that it shouldn't error out that quickly, especially with the screen being a very important part of being able to use it. I didn't replace it to give it a second chance, so I may have had a random bad item. I could see it being a great product as long as the screen lasted longer!

The unit works well. Is easy to use. Its just a little large for the dashboard. It can be pushed aside with its flexible stem and that
helps keep it out of the way.

It works very well. There are some things that are a little sad. (First world problems) it's a little on the quiet side when playing your music over the radio then other forms of listening to music. The other is that you must turn it off otherwise it will keep sending the signal and drain your battery when you turn off your car. Other then that it's a great alternative.

It's ridiculous that the product does not tell you the minimum level operating system you'll need to operate the unit or that you'll have to download an app to use it. This should be clearly labeled on the outside of the box. It clearly wasn't, and because I could perform the upgrade I couldn't use the app. Without the app, you can't use the unit. So the unit had zero value to me b/c it was incompatible. Requirements should be printed on the box. When they aren't you end up with headaches and returns. I NEVER return things, but I had to return this item. It was over a hundred dollars and didn't work with my iPhone. I should have known, because it had been visibly previously returned. I believe this has everything to do with a lack of system requirements printed on the back. My understanding is that it's a great device- IF you can get it to work. I didn't get that far. Simple software fixes, or more clear system requirements printed on the back would have made this a great product. As it is, unless you have the latest and greatest system upgrade, and no trouble downloading upgrades/downloading apps, don't get it. It probably would have worked with my new iPhone, but failed with my old one.

Good Replacement for Previous Unit

Works just great. One concern is that when I plug unit into cigarette lighter, It says "please wait" the entire time. Doesn't show the frequency I have it dialed into. None of the buttons seem to operate when in this mode. The transmitter is strong. It plays on whatever frequency I have on my radio. It just doesn't display it on the unit. Little or no fade or crosstalk from a stronger station that may be near frequency I have dialed in. Perhaps I am doing something wrong when I plug it in.

For customers like me who don't have an AUX/USB port, this is a great product. The one that I bought was actually a floor model so it was marked down. Originally it was over $60, which is something that I wouldn't be able to afford. But this model was about $21. Its really easy to use/install and it finds the best station for you to listen to your IPod from. It also has a AUX port on the side if you want to listen from your phone or other MP3 device. The thing that i really don't like is that I can't turn up the volume on my IPod. So if I have a song that is really low, then I have to turn the radio all the way up instead of just turning up the volume on my IPod.

I needed to add another FM transmitter to my stable, and it required the old 40 pin connection. This one seems to fit the bill.

The product does exactly what it advertises. It is very easy to use and serves it's purpose to play and I phone in my car. The signal is very strong and very clear. Compared to other brands this is the best one I have found so far.

It Works, Just Not All Features

The positive: the sound quality is very good and it does actually play my iPod Nano through the FM radio in my truck. The negative is that once I plug in my iPod, it will constantly display "Please wait," though there is no need to do so. Additionally, it will start to display the name and/or artist on my radio's display (not on the Scosche transmitter's display, however), but it will display just one line, then freeze for the entire song without completing the display. I am not sure if this is a problem with the transmitter or with my truck's radio and, frankly, I'm not that interested in reading that on the display--I know what song I'm playing from my iPod.

I know, yes, not all of us have the fancy built-in USB's, Aux ports, or Bluetooth devices already in our cars...
I'd been using an older FM transmitter for years now. The old one is still working, but the lighted, digital screen is partially burnt-out, which makes it hard to know what station to tune to. It was finally time to get a new one!
At first, I was a little put-off by the bulkiness of this unit... and the price. I decided that if I didn't like it, I'd return it. So, I bought it.
I've been very happy with this transmitter. Here's why:
- The digital screen looks and works great.
- I like how you can adjust the unit's display angle.
- It actually displays what artist and song is currently playing from my iPod.
- The transmitter has the feature ('scanFREQ') that automatically finds an open FM frequency to transmit on. (Sure can't say that about my old one!)
- The transmitter is quite powerful. I was following my wife in another vehicle, and could pick up what was being transmitted through my radio as well, loud and clear!
