    I needed a bay adapter when I replaced my HDD with an SSD. Best Buy was out of the single drive adapter, so I purchased this one. All the hardware is included and works just as well for a single 2.5" SSD as it does for a dual setup.

    I've bought a number of these to upgrade older computer HDs to SSDs that only had a 3.5" bay. This made it simple to add a 2.5" SATA SSD to the computer which helped it run much faster. I haven't put two drives on top of each other in one of these, so I don't know if that would create heat issues between the two.
