Better than originally anticipated. Well worth the purchase as it illuminates the entire wall behind my PC and monitor. Great additional to my custom build.

If you have a pc with the corsair ecosystem this goes perfect with it. I have it lining the back of my desk and the colors match everything around it.

This product is not cheap. But if you want the best, this is it!

Exactly what you would expect. Currently on the back of my monitor but considering adding them to the inside of my pc.

This is the way to go if you’re looking for a unified RGB look to your desktop setup. In the box you get two longer and two shorter strips, ideally for placing around a monitor or monitors. I chose instead to place the strips along the framing of my desk. I was pleasantly surprised to see magnetic blocks on the back of the strips that made mounting it to the metal frame of my desk a walk in the park. Outside of the light strips you get cable management clips and metal mounting tabs (both with adhesive backing), extension cables, controller, power brick and USB cable. You’re given everything you need in the box to mount the strips and keep the cables tidy. Once I had everything connected, since I already had the iCue software installed, it picked up the LED strips right away. You can do hardware lighting which “saves” the chosen setting even when the iCUE software isn’t running or the PC is in a low power state. You can also run custom software lighting and setting up the LED strips is straight forward. You can change the individual LEDs to give the lighting aesthetic you want by selecting them and changing their color or behavior. You can also link all your devices together and have all your RGB lights to act as one. The iCUE software is intuitive and easy to one click all your iCUE compatible hardware to a preset theme. You can also go in and control each individual LED light so if you want a gradient or two tone look, you can customize to your heart’s desire. If I had one recommendation it would be slightly stronger magnets. I was mounting my lights, one set fell off, and took all the other lights with it. I actually found it comical. It was only a minor inconvenience. I have several Corsair products and I love how the work seamlessly together. The LS100 Smart Lighting strips are no different. Easy to install, easy to use, and expanding your desktop experience is as easy as plug and glow.

Love them -- they bend into any config you cold want and the light is better than the other Corsair offerings.

Looks great in my case if you have the space put it in there. Would probably be weird on the monitor because of how thick they are.

My entire PC set up is all Corsair ! Looks really nice at night when I’m gaming everything works in sequence together.

Build quality is nice and all, but there is just too much wire and attachments. If they can limit the use of wire then its good. otherwise you'll have to do some good cable management.

Works perfect and is easily controlled from iCue program, not very bright but worked for what I needed it for

About The iCue LS100 by Corsair is smart lighting strip starter kit. It’s designed to give your desktop display ambient RGB lighting, and it must be used with Corsair’s iCue desktop application to work. It requires its own power outlet and connects to your computer through a USB-A port. Each starter kit contains 4 light strips: (2) 250mm and (2) 450mm. Setup Attaching the lighting strips is done with a small number of magnets that have a sticky adhesive backing. You figure out where the lights will be placed, put the magnets on the back of display, and place the light strip onto the magnets. The four individual light strips are connected with jump wires. You must download the iCue desktop application to use these lights. This application allows you to control the lighting qualities and effects and tie them into other Corsair iCue RGB products that you may own. There are preset effects that you can use or you can customize your own through color selection and combining preset effects. A few examples of effects are color changing, fading, lightning, twirling, and wave. Expansion Once you get used to the iCue app you may find yourself looking at other iCue components. There are keyboards, mice, mouse mats, headphone stands, headphones, light strip extensions, and light bars that are sold to run on the same RGB platform. Connect all of them to the same iCue desktop app, and they can be synced to color change with each other. My Experience Overall, the amount of options, connectablility to other iCue components, and color quality are all pretty impressive. The light strips are diffused so you don’t see the individual LEDs. Each strip has full gradient capability, so it can produce multiple colors on each strip instead on just one per bar. This allows the light strips to perform various motions and color shifts which bring the RGB lighting to life. What Could Be Better? The installation isn’t wowing for me. The adhesive on the back of the magnet isn’t very sticky, and the magnets can come off. Also, the magnets aren’t very strong, so sometimes the lights slide off the magnets. The power cord is around 6 feet long, and the USB cord is around 5 feet long. With my setup, this was a little problematic. Seemed like I needed more cord length. I would also like to suggest that Corsair create an app for your phone to connect to the iCue software on the desktop. I use the RGB lighting effects more as a display while I am not on the computer. It would be nice to be able to change the lighting effects without opening up the machine and then stepping away to admire. Having a phone app that would allow you to change this could be really helpful. Overall The iCue LS100 starter kit is a really good way to add RGB ambient lighting to your desktop display. While there are a few things that could be better, I really like how much control you have with the application and how it connects to other Corsair iCue components. I am giving this product 4 stars.

Use the wire management attachments and this kit is awesome. Great for subtle back lightning.

I love the new ambience this Corsair smart lighting strip brings to my gaming room. First of all, this is very easy to set up and install on your gaming monitor. This kit comes with everything you need in order to get this up and running on the back of your monitor. No extra tools are necessary, which is always nice. I would recommend you do a little planning, before you start putting on the adhesives because they really stick to the surface and it will be very difficult to readjust them. Once we had everything planned, the actual installation took a little less than 15 minutes. I would have liked a couple of extra spare connectors to better secure the lights. Once everything was secure, the fun really began. I highly recommend that you download the iCue software to customize the lighting patterns. You have so many options on this app, that I would say this is where I spent the most time, which is not a complaint, but it just took some time to figure out what I wanted to do with my new light show. Once everything is up and running, this Corsair lighting strip brought a new ambience to my gaming experience. It definitely gets your creative juices flowing.
