The keyboard is expensive, but it feels great and is very responsive. The lighting features are neat but I don't use them mostly as they are distracting. Keep in mind the keyboard will take up two USB ports.

I previously used a Razer Blackwidow, which had Cherry MX blue keyswitches. That said, I love the Browns on this keyboard. They have the same great tactile feel I know, but are much quieter. The lighting control software is very complex, and takes several hours of googling, watching videos on YouTube, and reading manuals before it can be used fully. There are some presets that work out of the box, but if you're like me and want the full customization this keyboard offers, be prepared for some studying.

Firstly, I have to say that this is a really expensive keyboard. It's a lot of money, but I will also say you are getting a premium product. I have tried several keyboards, specifically with brown switches. I enjoyed typing on this keyboard the most in terms of feeling. The only issue is with the enter and backspace key which felt a little mushy to me at first. I pressed them in a little more and the feeling went away, although I may have just gotten used to it by then.

My son researched gaming keyboards for months. Our store was out of this one so he purchased a different brand. After 2 weeks a key went bad. He returned it and got a different Corsair keyboard as this one was out of stock again and being a teen he had to have one NOW! Well...that one got returned as well. He finally ordered this one and he loves it!! He loves the feel of the keys, something about being in between mechanical keys and soft touch, as far as the clicking of the keys (whatever that means), he loves the matte finish and all of the different color combos he can program on this keyboard. He's a big time gamer who researches products to death. This is by far his favorite purchase.

Thanks to Bestbuys fantastic return policy, I was able to try the Razer Chroma keyboard. The razer keys just didn't have the same feel as the cherry brown switches that are in the K70 RGB. The lighting on the Chroma is much brighter than the Corsair keyboard, but the K70 CUE software allows for COMPLETE control of the lighting effects, while the Razer Chroma has just a few templates, with very little customizing ability. I have to say that the Corsair K70 RGB not only met, but exceeded my expectations, and I would recommend this keyboard to anyone wanting a high quality piece of equipment that should last for several years.

Color LEDs lights and nice to the touch keys. I personally like the red to type with than the brown one.

I've owned this keyboard for 4 months now and I'm very happy with it. The color possibilities are endless and there is a good community releasing color profiles all the time. The keys are nice and not slick, give good click feedback, and the click sound I enjoy from mechanical keyboards. It's very well build and does not feel cheap at all I really like the brushed aluminum and wrist rest. I highly recommend this to someone buying their first mechanical keyboard or anyone who like them.

I had originally bought this keyboard but with red switches. The browns feeling perfect for typing and for gaming, as they are light but still give a satisfying tactile feedback. I generally play mobas and this keyboard helps with those too. The lighting on this thing is nothing short of spectacular, with variety being endless. That's thanks to the awesome (yet complicated) software Corsair provides for it. Fortunatley, there are forums (http://forum.corsair.com/v3/forumdisplay.php?f=248) with premade templates. I have 20 loaded up as we speak! Switching between profiles is easy too, and you can set it to automatically switch when you start a new program. Anyway I recommend these wholeheartedly if they are within your budget!

I waited for this product to be in stock for over five months. Once I saw best buy had them, I immediately Purchased it. However once I received it, I was not impressed. For starters, It only comes in Cherry mx red and brown switches which is fine however I personally like the blues. The keyboard needs two USB ports. Not a big deal, but it can get annoying if you tend to use them for other things. The lights are also much dimmer than I would have imagined. Much dimmer than the regular k70, but I guess that is to be expected. Also, while the light show can be pretty, the lights freeze, even during regular use requiring you to unplug the cords or reset the keyboard via the bios switch in order to watch the pretty lights again. The software is a real let down not just because it can be difficult to learn, but because it just stops working when launching apps like steam. My biggest gripe with this keyboard is that only has about 500 different colors instead of 16.8 million, giving it about 8 stages of brightness, so if you would like to have a slow breathing effect on your keyboard, it will be useless. You can see the keyboard stepping down a ladder of brightness, instead of a smooth transition. It is almost too annoying to have on. I'm really thinking about picking up a ducky shine 4 with blue switches instead, which is a shame, because I was really looking forward to using this keyboard for a long time.

Just over 5 hours of use on this keyboard and I'm already in love with it. Coming from a Razer BlackWidow Chroma (similarly priced) I am glad I went with this one. The build quality is top notch vs the Chroma, there is no comparison. Brushed metal finish is superior over the Chroma's cheap, fingerprint magnet plastic. First time using Cherry MX Brown keys and quickly became my favorite switch. I also loved the louder clicking on the Chroma, others might find them loud and annoying. Cherry MX Brown switches make less noise, but have a satisfying tactile feel. The media shortcut keys were the initial reason I switched over to the K70 RGB. On the Chroma, I HATED having to hit FN+key for volume adjustment and media shortcuts. Only real cons I've found is the LED lights are a notch dimmer and less vibrant than those found on the Chroma, but it is almost non negligible. Also Corsair's UI is less user friendly and intuitive than Razer's Synaps.

    Software full of bugs

This is a great keyboard, but unfortunately you need the software to use it. Recent software updates from Corsair created new problems and actually made things worse. You can't even open steam without it crashing. Most games cause the profiles to stop working too. The only fix is to reboot your system. The last update from Corsair took almost a month. It fixed one thing. It stopped a popup window from opening with importing profiles... a month. This is unacceptable for the price of this product. I will never buy another Corsair product again.
