Customers are pleased with the game's updated graphics, fun gameplay, and the overall quality of the remaster. Many appreciate the nostalgic experience and consider the price point to be excellent value. However, some players found the difficulty challenging, and a few noted concerns about the controls and occasional issues with jumping and load times. The physics engine also received mixed feedback.

Despite the other reviews the game plays exactly as i remember it from 20 years ago, difficult, frustrating, and for some reason still has long load times. But despite that it is colorful and fun to play. If you have played these in the 90s you will enjoy reliving the experience with the updated visuals. If u are new to the series you may not enjoy them as much as many of the flaws are still there. The mechanics can be inconsistent which is frustrating on a speed run on an already difficult game, but not having an appropriate response to button presses at times or having vague hit boxes on certain enemies. But the games are relatively short by today's standards and comes with 3 platinum trophies so if u enjoy collecting trophies u can rack up a lot for a small amount of $.

This game does a great job of bringing you back to the Playstation games of the 90's. It was one of my favorite Playstation games of all time and this game certainly does not disappoint

When I got this game I expected it to be identical to the originals. For the most part it stays true! The gameplay and level design have a new facelift for all ages to enjoy. Crash's crazy antics are revived with amazing music and refreshed bonus levels.
BUT prepare yourself for a lot of frustration. While the gameplay is kept the same, the mechanics are changed ever so slightly. The physics have been changed so if you don't land pixel perfect on the platforms you'll watch yourself slide right off. You can look up more thorough explanations online but this was not the same as before.
Overall the game is an amazing nostalgia trip back in time and a great way to share how unforgiving old games were. There's no "Press A to jump". You learn as you go kids.

I used to play these as a kid. Not having played them for a while I decided to buy it and see how I liked it as an adult. They remastered the game and the quality is amazing (compared to what it used to be). It's pretty challenging and frustrating, so much that my boyfriend refuses to play because it stresses him out. If you're a competitive person and cannot stop playing a game until you win, this is the perfect game for you.

Some of the game is a little harder than i remember, but seems to be because of how they have updated to the ps4 system. Jumping and landing seems a little wonky, but still super fun

This will take you back to the first PlayStation where either you’re having lots of fun and playing this game non stop, or you’re frustrated on how you can’t pass a certain level.

If you've played crash growing up, you'll love this remake. It stays true to the originals and is fun as ever. Also a tough challenge to platinum. Stormy ascent is brutal as well.

Nice to see a game that is OK for kids 8-14 yrs old without violence, nudity or foul language. It seems games are targeted for little kids or adults and not much in between.

I played all the of the original games waaay back on ps1 and these remasters are excellent! If you loved the originals then this is worth getting!! The graphics are top-notch and the music is great! The difficulty can be tough at times for the first game but that's the way it was back in the day. All 3 games on one disc. Buy it and enjoy a classic ps1 era game collection in beautiful hd!

Still a great game but definitely harder than the original. If I played this one when I was 8 again I don't think I could do it, but games have come a long way since then.

I loved the Crash games as a child but they can be a little difficult to go back to now. This remake did everything I was hoping for without tainting any of the nostalgia.

Bought this as a stocking stuffer for my girlfriend, she loved Crash as a kid and the game still holds up. The visuals are a great update to the original, the gameplay while function though has started to show its age. It may be good for gamers who grew up with games like this, younger games may feel a bit limited.

While most (if not all) of us remember Crash Bandicoot nostalgically as one of the best platformers ever, it's hard to argue that it hasn't exactly aged gracefully. This remake is absolutely fantastic when it comes to technicality -- everything looks gorgeous but feels as authentic as ever. Unfortunately, the game is still too difficult for some, but the challenge feels great for me personally. It's a great value.

I played Crash Bandicoot 2 when I was a kid. I do not remember it being this difficult when I was a kid. The game has some depth perception problems as well as spin radius problems. It’s not game breaking, but it’s not good and induces rage to the point that I can’t play long. Glad I didn’t pay full price for it.

The game is great so far as I haven't played through it all yet. Visually stunning and amazing rework of the levels that I played as a kid. Very nostalgic. Where it loses a star for me is that it is even more difficult than I remember the original games being and in ways that it shouldn't be difficult. I don't know all the technical terms but essentially you shouldn't have trouble jumping a small gap or thinking you are safe on an edge them slide off. It feels like it is not intentionally tough in the sense at times. There are better reviews out there describe exactly why. Something with the polygons going from the old graphics to new or whatever. Check those reviews out for the real reasons haha. Still great.

If you loved the original Crash games then you will likely love these remakes, and if you've never played them, I highly recommend trying them. They stand up well compared to modern games within the genre, but be forewarned about the difficulty - the difficulty of the current version may prove more daunting than expected, and seems a little more difficult than what many remember from their original counterparts.
