I was heading into Best Buy for something else when I spotted their DVD bins of $3.99 and $4.99 and gravitated toward them. I found this gem, Criminal, in the $4.99 bin, read the synopsis and became intrigued by the storyline. Seeing Kevin Costner play a bad guy in the past usually doesn't work well for him, but in this film, he actually pulls it off. The story is tight and flows with fast paced action with a great supporting cast. An added attraction is seeing Gal Gadot make her American film debut before she became a household name via Wonder Woman fame.

The idea of transferring somebodies memory puts it in the sci-fi category otherwise it's an ordinary action type thriller with a great cast. Found this after a deep dive into the Best Buy bargain bin for a nice low price. Very good video and audio.

This isn’t the best action/suspense you’re ever going to see, however a bit of a confusing/slower start is worth the pay off. The great cast, action and charm of this film collide soon after to make this a very enjoyable & heart felt film I would recommend a friend/anyone else to check out!

The take on this was unique, imho. I thought it was well written & played out pretty smooth. I don't know if I would have bought it to have in my collection if I'd rented it first. I try to rent some movies first, you know to see if I really want to own them. But, I do recommend it.

It is really a good action movie, Kevin Costner great performance. Nice, nice creative story but kind of annoying the little girl will become so attached to the worst criminal alive and the mother accept it soooo gracefully. Besides that, it is a good action movie.

I love this movie. Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee, Gary Oldman, and Gal Gadot all had a strong performance. Ryan Reynolds too, but I wished that his character could have been given more screen time. The quality of the 4K dvd was excellent. I plan to watch this 4K dvd multiple times.

In Criminal, Kevin Costner (who is barely recognizable in this movie) puts in a moving performance as Jericho, a brain-damaged criminal who turns out to be the perfect test subject for a memory implant procedure. Tommy Lee Jones (who looks like he is around 120 years old in this picture) drifts through the movie as the mad scientist who the CIA pays to conduct some experimental brain surgery. I normally love Tommy Lee Jones, but most of the time in this movie he looks like he is either falling asleep or on his deathbed. Costner winds-up with a dead CIA agent's (Ryan Reynolds) memories implanted into his skull, which come leaking out as the movie moves along. Gary Oldman puts in a solid performance as Costner's CIA handler and Gal Gadot plays the CIA agent's grieving wife. The movie starts out looking like a by-the-numbers spy movie, with Reynolds making a brief appearance at the beginning. After a bit of backstory on the main characters the theme switches gears to a high-speed thriller, punctuated by some compelling interaction between Costner and Gadot. I wouldn't quite call this a sci-fi movie, but the whole "brain transfer" thing obviously has some sci-fi elements to it. As plots go, the movie is pretty average. Bad guy is chased by main character, who himself may or may not be a bad guy. What really gives this film its strength is the great performance by Costner though. He pretty much carries this movie. I'm not normally a huge Costner fan, but he really stepped-up his game for this role. It was a good enough performance that I actually had no idea that Kevin Costner was the main character until I saw the final credits roll. His face and voice are pretty much unrecognizable. Anyway, it was a fun movie to watch and I really enjoyed it. It's definitely worth your time.

Well acted by Costner and Oldman. I enjoyed it enough to watch it twice in 2 nights. Costner's portrayal of the lifelong criminal was riveting.

This was a very well acted and produced action movie. The lead actors are well known. The movie keeps you interested right to the end. There is no insertion of gratuatious sex or any real sex scenes.

This movie was surprisingly good for a movie that flew in under the radar solid acting ,good story and very entertaining.

I didn't remember seeing this movie before. I found it in a $5 bin, and just from the cover, I thought why not for $5.

I was not sure what to think of this movie, but the previews looked good. This movie is better than what I expected.

I'm not going to reveal the plot which is part on the Si-Fi story, but the characters in the movie are well played, and that results an a good and entertaining movie.

Very interesting story and fantastic acting by amazing actors. This is a must see. Story was unique and an unexpected treat. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

This is a fun action movie that is a lot better than anticipated. Great transfer and good sound.

The picture quality was decent and the movie selection was good if you're a Kevin Costner fan.

A man's memories/feelings are implanted into a criminal's mind and it's up to him to save the day. The movie should have been a lot more fun considering the cast.

The opening was a shocker when we saw Kevin Costner's roll. Although he played his part very well, this is one of those unrealistic type movies. I'm more of a "Based on True Story" kind of gal so, although it was an interesting show, it wont be one of my favorite Kevin Costner movies. I can go a year or two before watching this one again. Im giving it 4 stars because its a good movie and not one of those movies that you have to force yourself to watch. I recommend it because the movie was done well and not how I expected it to be! Kevin Costner is a great actor and as usual, he played his part well!

Good movie and story line. Almost an all shtar cast including Wonder Woman.
