The contentsiousness at a superior military level is so perfectly played by Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman that it will keep you on the edge of your seat. The ego and personal experience of Gene Hackman's performance are a direct conflict with the new era military ideals of Denzel. This creates a thrilling and very well acted movie questioning the "should we or shouldn't we take forcible action" of this drama. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed watching this movie again. I saw it several years ago. It is the type of movie that you can watch every once in a while and enjoy it each time. I think that is due in large part to the outstanding cast not just the leads but all the supporting as well.

Crimson Tide is a tense, edge-of-your-seat movie starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman with Viggo Mortensen and James Gandolfini in supporting roles. A must-watch thriller!

I remember how a practical effects dude boasted that what he did for this movie was far better than what was done in Hunt for Red October... he was right! Hackman ROCKS!!!

Combo of Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington is tough to beat. Lots of plot twists beyond what you would expect. Only downside is some of the language.
