I love SSD's

I bought several to update several family members HDD to SDD and they notice the improvement in speed. I have also bought 1tb SSD and then I buy a case and use it as my gaming drive and the games load so much quick on my Xbox one and Playstation 4

Highly recommend this product as well as the tech service provided by Geek Squad.

Crucial SSD

The performance is great and the iMac has new life now! If using this drive on a Mac you need to use the Terminal app to enable TRIM. You can look up instructions on Youtube, it is very easy. The install on the iMac is not so easy and requires cutting the adhesive holding the glass screen to the frame. There are tons of Youtube videos covering the install.

I didn't read the specs that closely and was unpleasantly surprised to find out it had little storage and no microphone. I wondered if I might be better off just getting a new hard drive? Turns out the answer was yes, this has been a great one. I get to keel6the functionality of my old fashioned laptop, and suddenly it's much faster. Highly recommended.

Replaced HDD with this SSD in older Mac Mini

The Mini had become slow and reduced responsiveness making it difficult to use. Installing this SSD has given it a new life. The performance is now in the range of much newer Macs. Installation required a set of tools and patience. I used an internet connection to reinstall the macOS and the old HDD in a “dock” to migrate the data.
